So today wasn’t a total drab weather wise. It is still quite chilly, which is normal around this time in the North East for Spring, but that didn’t stop me from stepping out to get a few outfit shots in. This look is perfect to transition in to spring. I can pair it with a leather jacket or a trench coat for the chilly weather.

What I Wore

Printed Jaclyn Smith top from K-Mart (I purchased almost two years ago.) I love this top because the print is so fun. It looks great with skinny jeans or leggings. It can be worn with our without the belt and even opened with a tank top underneath.

Pants from H&M (purchased almost two years ago) I love the color of these pants. I struggle with the fit around the waist which is why I always wear these pants with a tunic.

Analyn Boots from Just Fab  I love the mixed texture of these boots. You have the snakeskin texture in the front and on the platform and suede in the back. I always get tons of compliments when I wear these boots.

Belt from Forever 21 (It came with a shirt I purchased years ago)

I usually don’t get this dressed up on Christmas. I rarely wear jeans on holidays, but there was something special about today lol. My “maxi skirt” is actually a dress that I purchased from jc penney on Black Friday. I paired it with a v-neck black long-sleeve shirt from 6pm.com and my sequin vest by Apostrophe from Sears (now Metaphor). I finished the look with Michael Antonio zippered booties from 6pm.com and silver jewelry.

Check out the hair!

It was very windy lol

It was very windy lol

I love the cranberry color it gives off in the sunlight. In regular house lighting it looked more like oxblood, but outside my dress/skirt was more vibrant.

I had a magical Christmas and I hope you all did as well. Until next time…

So I’ve had this Bisou Bisou dress/tunic for months now and I was tired of seeing it in my closet. I just decided to put it on one day and go about my business. This is definitely a dress you would wear if you are going to a party, lounge, or a date. I was going to none of the above lol.

I love the texture of the dress. It gives the illusion of waves.

I paired the dress with large silver hoops and my signature silver necklace. On my feet, my favorite black booties which are BCBGeneration.

I hope all of you had a great Christmas! I enjoyed the time spent with my family. This year we did something a little different. Instead of our usual Secret Santa game, we decided to donate the money we would spend on a gift to a charity. This year we chose St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. It is such a great feeling to give to those who truly need. We also played a w game that is new to me called the white elephant (click the link for directions because it is too much to explain lol). We definitely had a lot of fun Sunday night. My niece said this was fun I can’t wait until next Christmas lol. Kids are too cute.

Ok so let’s get to business. I was really indecisive about what to wear. I had about four different looks planned in my head but nothing came together, so I just ended up wearing a dress that I recently purchased from searsStyle (check the post).

I paired it with a pair of color-block heels from Material Girl because my dress has hues of blue throughout the design. It was an unusual match, but I think it came together pretty well.

I paired it with a blazer from Charlotte Russe and jewelry from a random store in the Jewelry District. I wore my favorite tights, Hanes Silk Reflections Black Out Opaque tights that I received from Kitty Bradshaw’s Meet N’ Tweet.

I created this photo with this app on my iphone. I’m addicted! lol

Here is a close up of my shoes

Here is a pic of my siblings and niece

I so want to steal my sister’s stockings! I would wear my niece’s skirt too, I was able to fit it lol (sad I know, but I love sequins). I love shawl collar sweaters and my bro got a little fancy with the canvas closure.

I also promised you all a snapshot of my holiday mani. Well here it is

It is pretty simple. I used red Zoya nail polish on all fingers except my pinky, which I chose to paint a silver glitter. As for the designs, very simple- white, sliver, green, and gold stripes (Christmas colors) and white and silver stars.

Well that’s it for me folks! What inspired your look this Christmas?

So after a STRESSFUL Friday and Saturday (I’ll leave my work problems alone) I decided I’d join one of my friends at Brother Jimmy’s for a late birthday celebration. I celebrated my birthday at Brother Jimmy’s this year so I did not hesitate to join the fun. As usual there was a table full of “swamp water” and of course some really amazing barbecue. I had barbecue wings and fries and the wings were AMAZING!! When I say amazing I mean it. They were well seasoned and so juicy. The rub and sauce used made the wings taste like ribs. Since Brother Jimmy’s is a sports bar and is very relaxed I went with a simple look. (Photo taken with phone…sorry)

What I Wore

  • Watch & Black sweatshirt/tunic-not sure what to call it because it can be worn multiple ways N ew York and Co. I also have this top in red. They are so comfortable. You get the feel of a sweatshirt, but it is more stylish.
  • Denim Shorts Levi’s via Macy’s
  • Purple Opaque Tights Xhiliration via Target
  • Black Riding Boots Steve Madden
  • Jewelry Random Jewelry Store in Manhattan

All of my friends thought I was crazy because I had on shorts in December. If this was like 3 years ago I would have never put them on, but I love wearing shorts all year round. Thank God for opaque tights, long coats and riding boots lol. Saturday wasn’t that chilly so I was really comfortable. I did get quite a few stares but I just smiled at everyone lol.

On another note, my hair is growing back beautifully. If you recall, I cut my hair in May because I wanted something different and I loved my little edgy asymmetrical cut, but I miss long hair, so I have embarked on a journey to get back to where my hair was in 2009/2010. Stay tuned for those updates.
