My friend and former classmate Nigeria asked me to do a few posts on natural hair care, I was supposed to do this post a little ago, but I am now getting to it (sorry). Although my hair is not natural (I considered going through the transition) I did my research and compiled a list of basics and essentials for women with natural (chemical free) hair styles.

Essentials

• Sulfate free shampoo
• Silicone free instant and deep conditioner
• Daily moisturizer or grease with no mineral oil or petrolatum
• Daily leave in conditioner
• Good natural oils
• Silicone based heat protectants.

Reading the ingredients listed for products at the local beauty supply store or drugstore and watching product reviews from other women will help determine which products have helpful ingredients as opposed to harmful.

Basics

• Plastic wide tooth comb
• Denman brush or boar bristle brush (some would advise no brushes of any kind)
• Hair clips that are hair stress free
• Metal free elastic bands
• Satin or silk scarf, pillow cover, or bonnet

Yes you read correctly, Justin Timberlake’s William Rast clothing line will be sold in Target. This December we will be able to snag great denim, outer wear and sportswear from this affordable, limited-edition collection. 

According to PopCrunch

“The winter collection of men and women’s apparel will feature the premium denim, outerwear, and sportswear that has become the William Rast signature. William Rast for Target debuts at most Target stores nationwide and online at the retailer’s website Target.com this Dec. 19 and will fill the racks through Jan. 22, 2011.”

Target is definitely making major moves! This is probably going to be one of the biggest collaborations since Justin Timberlake has such a huge fan base. I’m excited for this and its just in time for Christmas so this could definitely be added to the list.

Tonight is the night! I am super excited for Project Runway Season 8. I absolutely love Heidi and Tim and I can’t wait to see what the designers bring this season. Last night after Kim and I stopped at 2 other events, we headed to the pre-premiere party at The Hudson Terrace. The first 100 guest were given a special Project Runway goodie bag. You all know how much I love goodie bags, hence the name of the blog

We received a cute little Project Runway tank top, and a key chain with a spool of thread, a dress and scissors. The tank fits great!

The show airs tonight at 9pm and is on for an hour and a half! This is going to be a great season!

Last night in NYC, I along with my friend and blogging buddy Kim attended the VIBE Magazine and Luster’s Pink Smooth Touch launch event for the new face of the company, Letoya Luckett. She has replaced the former spokesperson for Smooth Touch, Keyshia Cole.

Letoya was radiant in a cobalt blue dress, statement pearl necklace and studded shoes (I believe are Louboutin) Her hair and makeup was flawless!

The Smooth Touch Brand of Luster’s Pink Brand is targeted toward younger women:

Christina Milian was spotted out and about in this blue leopard print mini dress. While many may say this isn’t a stroller pushing outfit…she definitely rocked it!

The dress she is wearing is actually from Forever 21…I know because I have it lol I bought it in March and it is no longer available in stores or online.

People on other blogs are being ruthless saying why would she shop in Forever 21, but my question is why wouldn’t she? There is nothing wrong with Forever 21. Many celebrties shop at stores like F21, H&M, even Goodwill and Thrift Stores so what is the problem? So what if she is not wearing Givenchy, Gucci, or Versace, that doesn’t take away from her style. She looks good, maybe the outfit is not appropriate for a day time shopping trip, but just because it is from Forever21 doesn’t take away from her look.
