Valentine’s Day is less than a week away and some of you are probably still trying to figure out what to do for you loved ones. Don’t be ashamed, there are thousands of people in your shoes, and don’t panic because I am here to help. So to plan a perfect Valentine’s Day and not break the bank here is what you do…

  • Go to your local ice skating rink or plan a one day trip to a ski lodge. You can enjoy the festivities and have hot coco with your boo
  • Light a fire, pop some popcorn, and snuggle up to your loved with your favorite movie rental. Stay at home movie nights can be romantic. You can skip the popcorn and replace with strawberries and champagne
  • Check out the local bookstore, art gallery or museum. Learning together about art and history will help you discover new aspects of each other. Oh and most of these places are FREE!
  • Spending the evening helping out at a soup kitchen or an animal shelter is a great way to strengthen your bond while helping those in need.
  • Have a scavenger hunt! I know it sounds weird, but it could be fun. Give your mate a list of clues of places, nothing too challenging, you don’t want them spending most of their time trying to find clues to find various spots. The last place could be your favorite restaurant, your apartment, movie theatre, etc. Any place where you can set a romantic mood.
  • Of course you can pamper your loved one. Facials, massages, breakfast in bed, etc.

As long as you express your love and appreciation for your significant other you will be ok. It is not always about the money.
