I have an exciting new giveaway and it is perfect for the season. We all know about the miracle worker Spanx by Sara Blakely right? Well she has also created a brand called ASSETS which is an affordable line of comfortable shaping unergarments. They are comfortable, figure flattering and slimming. The line consists of tights, bras, panties, and other body shapers.

I was sent 2 pairs of ASSETS tights and a $50 gift card to jc penney where I purchased a dress to pair with the tights with a season appropriate fall look. Here is the look

I’m wearing a red shawl collar sweater dress from east 5th, a brand sold at jc penney with my ASSETS tights. The dress is currently on sale at 50% for $30. The original price is $60. The dress is extremely comfortable and features a 3/4 length sleeve and hits right above the knee. This look can be worn to work or even to dinner. What I love most is the rich, bold color. You will definitely turn heads in this.

Here are close up shots of the tights

These are the flipside diamond tights and they are shaping tights. They definitely bring EVERYTHING in and shapes your butt pretty nicely might I add.

The tights are a sample size 4 (5’4-6’0 180-220 lbs) but, they fit me (5’4 135lbs) so don’t let the size fool you, they will fit almost any shape.

You can have a chance to win a pair of these tights by following these simple rules

So one of the most exciting weeks of Fashion begin’s this Thursday and what better way to start it off then with Fashion’s Night Out. This event has been a huge success and it keeps getting bigger and bigger. I have gotten many requests from readers on what to wear for this event so here it goes!

Look #1 is for the classic woman with a modern twist. A simple color blocking dress can be worn during the day at work, but put on a pair of contrasting pumps and a cropped leather jacket and you are FNO ready!

Fashion's Night Out Look

Look #2 has classic pieces but it is a little more edgy. Throw on your favorite animal print, black jeans and a killer red pump to turn heads!

Fashion's Night Out Look #2

Look # 3 consists of a pair of leather shorts, a pussy bow blouse, and a faux fur vest. I think this look may be my favorite! I love browns, creams, and tans with a hint of red, wine, rust, or burgundy. It is very chic!

Fashion's Night Out Look #3

These are just a few options, but wear something that you feel comfortable and confident in. Once you are comfortable and feel confident, there’s really nothing no one can say that can bring you down from feeling fabulous!

Well, right now, my look for this night involves 2 of this season’s biggest trends, bright pants and polka dots, but that may changed since I created these looks lol, so stay tuned to see what I wore!

Check out The Fashion Bomb’s Guide to FNO for a condensed list of some of the hot spots across the city!

Neutral colors are always in season. They are just more prevalent during the Spring and Summer months. Malinda Williams and Kelly Rowland both show us two looks that are very different, but they both have the same elements, which are neutrals.

You can achieve many looks with neutral pieces. Kelly’s look is very classic with the ruffled blouse and basic black pump, while Malinda’s look is very modern and chic with a t-strap platform and semi-sheer top. Neutrals can work all year round, whether you choose to rock a neutral tops, pumps, or pants.

Here are a few netural pieces that will help you transition in to fall

Jessica Simpson Brook Dark Neutral $80

This snakeskin pump is perfect for the fall. Because it is mostly dark brown with hints of nude and beige, it can go with just about anything

Neutral Kimono Cardigan $53

This cardigan can be worn with jeans, pants, skirts and dresses. Layered over t-shirts and tank tops, add a belt and a pair of booties in a contrasting color and you are ready for brunch with the girls or a quick shopping trip.

Neutral Fur Buckle Gilet $65

Fur vests are becoming staples and can be worn like a cardigan. On the cooler days opt for a long sleeve shirt or even layer the vest over your favorite tank and cardigan or jean jacket.

Gap Perfect Khaki Pants $50 also available in pavement (dark grey)

Make room in your closet for the wide-leg pant–it’s back in a big way. Their leg-lengthening, flattering fit gives you a great alternative to the skinny.

So start making your transition with these neutral pieces. Find a piece and make it your own!

So I saw this top and a look instantly came to mind. So here it is

The cardigan makes this great transitional outfit. Crop tops can still be worn early fall if layered correctly. The cardigan will provide a little bit more warmth on those slightly cool days. You should never be afraid to wear color, no matter what time of year it is.
