Resurrection Sunday is quickly approaching and being that this is the holiest day for those of the Christian faith that believe in the Resurrection of Christ, you want to go rocking your Sunday’s best. Church is NOT about what you wear, definitely come as you are, but I have a few suggestions that could help you put your best foot forward to thank Jesus for making the ultimate sacrifice.

It is hard finding “church appropriate” pieces these days. I know many of you would say, “But you just said come as you are??” Yes I did, but when it comes to church I’m hold somewhat of a conservative view about attire. If you would wear it to a club, then most likely you shouldn’t wear it to work. I hold this same sentiment for the workplace. It is hard finding the right dress for many occasions because many designers and brands are opting for very form fitting dresses, pants, and skirts. Therese nothing wrong with showing off your curves, but there is a time and a place for everything.

Ok, now back to the post…….

Hopefully the weather cooperates and everyone can rock their Sunday’s best!

Easter is this Sunday and many of you will most likely be attending a church service. Easter is the one day out of the year, besides Christmas and Mother’s Day, where people attend some type of religious service and I must say everyone is always decked out. To some people, Easter is when you officially usher in the spring season. For this particular Sunday service you will see everything from floral print dresses, color blocking, pastels, nudes and more. So here are a few outfit ideas for Easter Sunday

Look #1 Pastel Color Blocking

Easter Sunday

Most people think you can only color block with bright, bold colors. That is not the case. You can color block with pastels as well. For this look I chose a seafoam lace dress and a pair of yellow heels. The colors are definitely traditional Easter colors so they compliment each other well. I paired the dress with a white blazer for a classic feel and for the accessories I kept it simple with gold hoops, color blocked bag and a pink ring to add more color.

Look #2 Floral Print

Easter Sunday #2

For this look I paired a floral print dress from TopShop with nude pumps and a teal cardigan to add a pop of color. I was trying to recreate my version of a flower in outfit form. The accessories were kept simple as well, gold watch and bangles and gold earrings with a teal accented jewel.

Look #3 Cropped Pants and statement shoes

Easter Sunday #3

For my last look, I paired a coral cropped pants, with a white chiffon pussy bow blouse, and a pair of satement shoes. I call these statement shoes because of the bold and unique style. The pointy toe pump is not your traditional shoe, it feautures a floral pattern and the cutest bow. Because the shoe is multi-color it can be paired with just about anything. So if you want to keep your outfit pretty simple, but still have a statement piece, then go for a bold statement shoe.
