This weekend journalists, models, actresses, musicians, comedians, politicians and a host of others pulled out their “best” for the 98th Annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner. This occasion is one that is fun and filled with laughs. Let’s take a look at what some of our favorite celebs wore

Whenever I see a photo of the President and First Lady I just smile. They are amazing. I have yet to see a full length photo of Michelle Obama’s dress, but from what I can see it is beautiful. FLOTUS is just radiant. She is a true beauty.

Mary J. Blige and husband Kendu Isaacs attended the event. I am not crazy about Mary’s look. I can see she tried to add a pop of color with the red shoe, but the shoe just doesn’t compliment the dress well. I love the top of Mary’s dress, and probably would love the entire look if she chose a different shoe.

Kerry Washington went for a spring fresh look. Her natural makeup and minimal accessories down plays the look. I love the color on Kerry but I think with a little more drama she would have us all amazed, as she usually does.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz attended the event and it seems like she thought she  was just going to a regular dinner, not a dinner at the white house. Maybe I’m being a little too critical, but this look is too relaxed and that belt needs to go.

John Legend and Christine Teigen are just the cutest. She knows how to wear a red dress! Their look is super chic and they compliment each other very well.

Sticking with the Black and Red theme we have Viola Davis and her husband. She looks so regal in this red gown.

Rashida Jones wore a peplum gown to the event. Her style is very quirky, but it works for her. I actually love the gown and would love it more if it was a short cocktail dress.

Who rocked your favorite look?

If you aren’t following me on Twitter or if you have yet to Like Her Goody Bag on Facebook what are you waiting for? Tonight we ave up to the minute recaps on the attendees and who they were wearing. If you missed it sorry, but let’s make sure this doesn’t happen again!

Here are my favorite looks for the night.

Octavia Spencer looked absolutely gorgeous in this beaded Tadashi Shoji Gown

Viola Davis had many women green with envy in this custom Vera Wang Gown and I love that she went with her natural hair. She looks stunning.

Michelle Williams has become one of my favorites this awards season. She wore a Louis Vuitton gown in coral. On the tv it looks red but it is definitely coral.

I wasn’t able to get you the Red Carpet footage for the Golden Globes a few weeks ago because I was out of town and I didn’t have my laptop (bad blogger) but I have you covered for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

  • Kelly Osborne-It’s all in the simple details
  • Shaun Robinson- this is how you get noticed! The color is bold and daring.
  • Diane Lane-she didn’t take too much of a risk, but the jeweled detail is what caught my eye

  • Jayma Mays-combining sequins and lace can be detrimental but the execution on this dress was phenomenal
  • Ariel Winter- the mixed prints and textures give this dress major attitude
  • Kaley Cuoco-very whimsical, but I like it

  • Octavia Spencer- Always elegant. With dresses in this shade it’s always a hit or miss because it can look drab but she nailed it.
  • Ashlee Simpson- One of my top looks. It has such a vintage feel
  • Lea Michele- I guess she wanted to add a little flavor and show a little leg! The split is so daring, but it is tasteful

  • Amber Riley- representing for the curvy girls with this peplum and lace dress
  • Michelle Williams- I love the lace detailing on the sleeves
  • Regina King- what I love most about this dress is the color

  • Viola Davis- Yesssssss–she looks phenomenal! This dress is so elegant and her hair and makeup—perfection
  • Sofia Vegara- she’s always spicy and this dress definitely hugs the curves
  • Zoe Saldana- her style is effortless

  • Renee Bargh- the different textures give this dress a unique look
  • Nancy O’Dell- the color is amazing. Red is always a popular color
  • Rose Byrne- I love that she went against the grain and wore a jumpsuit

Our favorite celebs were out and about looking fly, fabulous, and fierce. Everything from printed dresses to classic white looks we were wow’d this weekend by all thing fab. Check out who made our weekend style files.
