Happy Friday!!!! I hope you all had a great week and are ready to start the weekend in style! For this weeks  Style Files Weekly Recap most of our favorite looks come from the movie premiere of Sparkle which is in theaters today so go support! Ok now that I have the disclaimer out of the way, it is time to get down to business.

  • Tika Sumpter looks like the Oscar statue in this gold Bill Blass dress. She is simply stunning! It is classy, yet a little sexy without going overboard. I love how the gold compliments her skin.
  • Christina Milian is rocking my second favorite look. I love the combination of shorts and a blazer. Her high bun adds instant glam to her look. This look is great for a girls night out. You get to show a little bit of leg, edge, and sophistication.
  • June Ambrose looked amazing as well in this dress during the Sparkle premiere. With this dress it is all about the details.
  • Last but not least, the star of the movie, Jordin Sparks, looked radiant in this red peplum dress. She went for a monochromatic look by pairing it with red pumps.

There you have it! Which celeb rocked the best look this week?

Tika Sumpter attended Estelle’s “Wonderful Life” album preview this week in NYC at the Darby.

Tika looked super fly in a pair of gold studded shorts, and a captains hat.  She paired the shorts with a leopard blouse and blush colored heels.  She kept her makeup simple with a pink lip and bronzer and let the hat take center stage by leaving her hair down.   Tika is such a beautiful woman, and that skin……..I think we would all kill for it! LOL.

I believe the studded shorts Tika is wearing are from Urban Outfitters and you can get a similar hat either on Etsy or by scouring your nearest vintage stores.

Tika Sumpter: Get The Look

Are you ladies feeling Tika’s look?

Celebrities like Tika Sumpter, Rocsi, and Angela Simmons have been spotted in these EXTREME Olcay Gulsen pumps. Yes they are extreme with a 7″ heel. The shoe is simply goregous, but I am not sure how practical they are. I can see myself walking from my front door to my car, driving to my destination, taking a few pictures and having a seat the ENTIRE night. It seems like the heels are getting more and more extreme. I used to be afraid to wear anything over 3inches, but now it is hard to wear anything under 4-inches. I am not sure if these shoes will affect  your health/body in the future (they most likely will) but we can worry about that later right? Right now we need between $600-$1,100 for these babies. The python is the most expensive because of the material. They also come in yellow, orange, and nude.

Would you rock these extreme heels from Olcay Gulsen?

Neon colors have been one of the major trends for spring 2012 and can be seen in many fashion collections this season (especially the resort collections).  When most people think of neon colors they think of the 80’s, legwarmers, acid wash denim and spandex or cheap clothes (eeek)!   With a modern and refreshing take, neon has made a huge comeback in the past 2 years and can virtually be worn by everyone no matter what their style is.

Some designers used neon colors to create bold garments and shoes and some used neon as more of a compliment to their main colors by using neon colored accessories and neon trims on their bags and shoes — this allows for everyone to incorporate the color into their existing wardrobe, whether it just be a statement necklace, blazer or the ever so popular choice for this season, neon colored skinnies!

I can’t say I’ve ever been a huge fan of neon colors (I own a lot of black) but this season I’ve really been embracing these bright colors!   My favorite neon color for the season is hands down the florescent yellow – it compliments so many others colors and patterns and looks good on everyone!  I realize there are many of us out there who are a tad bit more reserved with wearing all those bright colors however as I stated the neon trend is for EVERYONE and if you really are loving these colors but are feeling hesitant to take the leap, start off small (try an accessory or a neon trimmed shoe)!  If you love to overdose in color, GO BLOD — color block with the neon colors and grab everyone’s attention :).

I’ve posted some photo inspiration (with some of my favorite celebs and designers)  for ALL my ladies — those who want a more refined and classic take on neon as well as those who want to step out in a bold and colorful way this summer.

Will you be partaking in the neon trend this season?  Are there any items you have your eyes set on??!

Neon outfit(s)  inspired post to come shortly!

Happy Thursday everyone!

I know it is a little to early to do the weekly style recap, but I just couldn’t wait until Friday because these ladies look AMAZING.

First we have Janet Jackson looking radiant in this all black number on the Jay Leno show. She is definitely glowing. Makes me want to order Nutrisystem. lol

La La shows us the perfect way to add color in to our winter wardrobe

Keke Palmer is such a classy young lady. She deserves more recognition just for being positive! She is definitely a great example for the younger generation.

Tika is definitely in my Top 5 of best dressed celebrities. I love the mosaic print dress. Her skin is flawless! Off to drink more water lol.
