There is no denying that Rihanna’s style team works EXTREMELY HARD and this look here shows that hard work pays off! She looks fab! Fresh faced and not hard and gloomy as usual. She finally has a smile on her face…I would too if I had those boots…SICK!

amerie

Amerie looks stunning strutting her stuff on the streets of NY! Earlier in the week I did a post about Fur Vests (Don’t Call Peta) and she looks absolutely amazing witht he belted tunic and rocker boots. The subtle combination of neutrals makes this outfit great. You don’t always need a bright color to make an outfit pop. Add a killer boot, a great belt, or a show stopping piece like this vest to turn heads.

Amerie is also featured in COMPLEX magazine’s latest issue. She talks about men and cheating:

Amerie3

Men say: If I’ve only been seeing a woman for a month, I’m not expected to be exclusive.

Amerie says: Unless it’s been explicitly stated that you two are exclusive, it’s best to assume you’re not. Women date men—as in going out on “dates”—and feel awkward if they run into him on a date with someone else. Trust me, if a man doesn’t say so, he’s not exclusive and probably sleeping with someone else.

Men say: Cheating is only an issue if you get caught.

Amerie says: One of the consequences of cheating is that you only trust somebody as much as you trust yourself. Even the whole line of “wanting space”—they’ve probably already cheated at least once. It’s thinking, “I don’t want to risk losing this person, so instead of being honest, I’ll put them on the side while I get all this stuff out my system.”

Amerie6

Men say: Women settle more easily than men.

Amerie says: Men rarely settle; they won’t wife up someone they don’t feel is worthy of them. A woman can persistently chase a man, and he may sleep with her, but it’ll never make him love her. Yet a guy that a woman’s not interested in can hound her, and if he’s persistent enough, he’ll wear her down. Women are more malleable. Yet, we’re still the smarter sex. Men can’t handle the truth about women—that we can be as noncommittal, manipulative, and promiscuous as they are.

Amerie is proving herself to be one to watch when it comes to fashion. This red blazer is KILLER!!!

Rocsi is this weeks HGB Fashionista. She recently had a photo shoot and interview with HoneyMag and she talks about the affect the media and bloggers  have had on her and her self-esteem

“I think a lot of these Web sites need a story.”  They need to find somebody to pick on, and I just so happen to be one of those girls. I’ve always had that coming up against Free on a black network and not being black.”

“I got where I’m at because of my work,” Rocsi insists. “I never had to lay on my back to get where I was. I come from a Latino background where family and the way we were brought up was very important. That’s how we conducted ourselves as ladies. And that’s a very important thing to my family, so yeah, when these blogs come out and they start talking shit — you’re messing with what my parents instilled in me. And I know it isn’t true. But I’m glad I have great family members who know that I wasn’t brought up that way, to not be blinded by this industry.

I mean it’s real bad when it gets to the point where everything’s so unbearable. You really got to have that strength, because if I didn’t have that strength in me, I would kill myself. There are some days when I’m like ‘How bad do I want to kill myself right now? What is the point of going on when so many people despise me or hate what I do? At the end of the day, I don’t meltdown because I’m still going to be on BET,” Rocsi says. “Internet gangsters are so tough. They’re so tough.”

rocsi4

I love the fact that Rocsi is so honest when it comes to expressing how the industry has been affecting her. I’m pretty sure she loves what does, but if it is to a point where you have thought about committing suicide, you may need to take a step back and re-evaluate your situation. It kills me to see how low her self-esteem is. The entertainment industry seems like a very dark place. People are under scrutiny by fans, supporter, “haters,” industry execs, and so forth. It seems like no one can do anything right. I guess it comes with the territory huh. YOu have to be a really strong person, mentally and spiritually to survive in any industry put especially entertainment because people are watching your every move and they are waiting for you to fail. I pray Rocsi remains strong and do not let all of the negativity cause her to do something that she will regret.

You can’t place the blame on anyone in particular but some of these bloggers have a responsibility also. People are mentally weak and easily influenced so don’t be the reason that a person “pulls the trigger” or “takes the pills”

Ciara’s stylist has been putting in work for the past week. Ciara has looked absolutely fabulous! First of all let us give her a round of applause for getting rid of the wig. It wasn’t horrible, it was cute, but her long locks do much more for her face. The short her aged her a bit and now she looks much more youthful.

Here is Ciara for her photo shoot with US Weekly. White and Black is so Chanel, it is so classic so CiCi did a great job with this look. Now let us work on having a natural smile 🙂

The jacket, the jeans, the boots….She nailed it with this look! Thos Miu Miu boots are sick! (yes they are the same boots as Rihanna’s-they have the same stylist)

Ciara was spotted in Hollywood over the weekend doing a little shopping. She looked fantastic. First of all, I’m glad the wig is gone. The cut was cute, but I personally think she looks stunning with long hair. Back to her outfit, Ciara rocked J Brand skinny jeans, Yellow Christiand Louboutin heels, a cropped shirt and cropped denim vest. The yellow shoe is what brought the entire outfit together for me. I’m pretty sure this look could have worked with a blue, red, or pink heel, but its something about yellow in the summer.

Ciara gets an A for her looks this week. What do you think?
