Get The Look: Angela Simmons in a High Low Hem Dress

Angela Simmons has been loving stripes lately. Last week she was spotted in striped leggings, this week she was spotted pumping gas in a Torn by Ronny Kobo Johanna Hi-Low hem dress. The dress hugs Angela’s curves perfectly. She paired the dress with a cropped denim jacket and a pair of blue Christian Louboutin heels.

The dress is perfect for summer. It is sexy, yet casually chic. The styling was also on point. Most people would have probably paired it with a pair of black heels, but a pop of color goes a long way.

The dress is a little pricey though. It retails for $208 at Shopbop.com but hey you get free shipping lol.

Style Files: Celebs in Neons and Prints

Happy Monday!

This past weekend was simply amazing. We had great weather and lots of sunshine. I was able to break out my bright colors and floral prints. Today however, it is very dreary. It seems like we are continuously getting the April showers that never really came in April. Because the weather isn’t so great today we have to live vicariously through some of our favorite celebs.

Lil Kim was spotted rocking neon print leggings, turquoise Guiseppe Zanotti bow heels, and she also did a little color blocking.

I am loving Cassie in this Salvatore Ferragamo printed jumpsuit. The colors are bold and I love how the belt accentuates her waist. The white sandals also adds a great touch and completes the look.

Jada Pinkett Smith has been in promo mode for Madagascar 3 and has been flawless. This Atelier Versace gown is amazing. What I love most about this look is the gold hardware but the color is just amazing on her.

Last but not least Katerina Graham rounds up the crew in a floral and tiger print dress. She looked great . The red lip was also a nice touch

Rock It or Drop It: Lala Anthony at Madison Square Garden in Rag & Bone Jeans

Lala Anthony was at the Garden Thursday night supporting her booski Carmelo Anthony during Game 3 of the Knicks/Heat Round 1 Playoff Series. Lala rocked a Helmut Lang Sugar jacket, black tank, white and teal Rag & Bone Scuba Skinny Jeans, and pair of Charlotte Olympia wedges.

The jeans are definitely on trend with the color-blocking and neon colors. The simple hoops compliment the outfit very well. You do not want to over accessorize this look because the jeans are definitely a statement.

  • Monica is rocking one of my favorite trends this season and that is neon. Her neon pink pants are definitely statement pieces. Pair with another neon like yellow or orange for a bright color blocked look.
  • FLOTUS Michelle Obama never fails. NEVER! Her tangerine dress compliments her skin tone perfectly and let’s not forget her colorblocking skills with the turquoise heels!

What to Wear: Floral Print Pants

We have seen this trend on Beyonce, Olivia Palermo, June Ambrose, Keri Hilson and much more. Now we help you master a celeb fav for the spring. This look would definitely be floral print pants. You know the saying “April showers bring May flowers” right? Well the flowers came a little early this season.

Floral print can be a little tricky. You have to have the right print and color for your body type and skin complexion. If you are more of a pear shape you do not want to wear large bold prints on the bottom since it will bring more attention to your hips, butt, and thighs. So go for a smaller more subtle print that will give the same effect, but it will not make you look bigger. If you are a rectangle or inverted triangle, you can go for larger bolder prints on the bottom as to draw attention away from your top.

How Do You Wear Floral Print Pants?

I’m glad you asked! Since the print is already very busy, I would opt for a solid top. It can be a button up blouse, t-shirt, or tank top. Any shirt style will suit the floral print pants. If you are into mixing prints try not to pick a print that is too overpowering. Also go for coordinating colors so the prints can compliment each other. When it comes to color you can always go with the traditional black or white top, or you can pick a top from one of the colors in the print.

The pants featured in this post are from H&M and are only $14.95. I bought a pair a few weeks ago and have been dying to wear them. Every time I pull them out of the closet I put them right back because I want to “save them.” What am I saving them for? I have no clue but hopefully they’ll be making an appearance this weekend.
