I wasn’t able to get you the Red Carpet footage for the Golden Globes a few weeks ago because I was out of town and I didn’t have my laptop (bad blogger) but I have you covered for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

  • Kelly Osborne-It’s all in the simple details
  • Shaun Robinson- this is how you get noticed! The color is bold and daring.
  • Diane Lane-she didn’t take too much of a risk, but the jeweled detail is what caught my eye

  • Jayma Mays-combining sequins and lace can be detrimental but the execution on this dress was phenomenal
  • Ariel Winter- the mixed prints and textures give this dress major attitude
  • Kaley Cuoco-very whimsical, but I like it

  • Octavia Spencer- Always elegant. With dresses in this shade it’s always a hit or miss because it can look drab but she nailed it.
  • Ashlee Simpson- One of my top looks. It has such a vintage feel
  • Lea Michele- I guess she wanted to add a little flavor and show a little leg! The split is so daring, but it is tasteful

  • Amber Riley- representing for the curvy girls with this peplum and lace dress
  • Michelle Williams- I love the lace detailing on the sleeves
  • Regina King- what I love most about this dress is the color

  • Viola Davis- Yesssssss–she looks phenomenal! This dress is so elegant and her hair and makeup—perfection
  • Sofia Vegara- she’s always spicy and this dress definitely hugs the curves
  • Zoe Saldana- her style is effortless

  • Renee Bargh- the different textures give this dress a unique look
  • Nancy O’Dell- the color is amazing. Red is always a popular color
  • Rose Byrne- I love that she went against the grain and wore a jumpsuit

Yesterday was what people have been calling “The New Year’s Eve of Fashion.” Fashion’s Night Out might be one of the largest events NYC has ever seen. Last year there were huge crowds but this year was insane.

I didn’t have time to go home and chnage to wear what I originally had planned, so I jumped on the train, straight after work to meet my friend Shara. We had plans on FNO hopping, going to multiple places in one area. We chose Herlad Square and decided to head to Macy’s, Lord & Taylor (a few blocks away), H&M, and Sephora.

The night was so crazy we only made it to our first stop, Macy’s. Here are some photos of my night

I wore a printed top, navy blue high-waisted pencil skrt, and I accessorized with burgundy t-strap pumps, gold watch, and gold hoop earrings.

Shara wore a black and grey dress paired with a black cardigan and acessorized with black suede pumps and beaded jewelry.

We were both so tired after working all day and being on our feet all day and then being on our feet all night. Next year we are definitely wearing flats!

Our first stop was with Samantha Ronson. She does not look like a very happy DJ, but she was playing all of the hits! This was a great way to start the night, with great music!

We then walked around the store, of course hit up the shoe department, and there are about 4 pairs of Jessica Simpson shoes that I would like in my closet right now! That’s another post though. We then landed on the 5th floor for a fashion show and runway challenge with Miss J. Alexander from America’s Next Top Model.

This is the crowd waiting for Miss J.

He finally arrived (40 minutes after his scheduled time) and hit the runway. His walk is definitely fierce! He was also sigining copies of his new book “Follow the Model: Miss J’s Guide to Unleashing Presence, Poise, and Power

We then continued to walk around the store, and I spotted this fierce live model.

Animal print, fur, and sky high heels…definitely a great look for the fall!

We made our way to the 2nd floor to meet  I.N.C. International Concepts Editor Anna Del Russo. They had live models taking photos of guests, a great DJ and they were also giving out the cutest little headbands.

I loved the booties all of the models were wearing. There color scheme was right in line with the fall! My favorites were the yellow pleated skirt, yellow sweater, and black and white print dress.

Ok so this is when the madness happened. I.N.C. were giving out headbands that said “ADR (Anna Del Russo) INC.” The headbands were black and had a black veil. They were super cute. I snapped a picture of an employee wearing one.

Cute right? Anyway EVERYONE and their mothers, grandmothers, great grandmothers, fathers, uncles…(you get the picture right?) wanted one! They were swarming the associates and almost fought! Over a headband they will never wear again mind you. They were snatching headbands from each other, snapping people’s headbands in half, pushing the associates. One associate literally had to duck through the crowds of people to get away. It was really that bad. I was like ok this is not happening, I don’t need a headband that bad and walked away. I was not about to lose my life over this. That’s how serious some people got. It was unbelievable!

So I didn’t get a headband, but as I was about to leave I did get a rose from the associates in the cosmetic/fragrance department. Their motto was “Fashion starts with Fragrance.” It was too cute.

On our way out of Macy’s, we spotted Carson Kressley and Shaun Robinson who were conducting the interviews for Access Hollywood. We could barely snap pictures. Security was tight and strict in that area. This is the one picture that I managed to snap on my Blackberry.

It was a great night overall. Even though I didn’t make it to see Solange or to Sephora or H&M (my feet and ankles would not let me) I still had a good time.

Where did you go for Fashion’s Night Out?

Shaun Robinson, Viola Davis, and Mary J. Blige all looked great in their pinks and purples. Shaun Robinson and Mary J. Blige complimented their pink and purple with gold. Almost anything accented with gold gives a very glamorous and luxurious vibe. Viola however paired her purplish
