The Jimmy Choo x H&M Collection finally hit stores this weekend, and THE LADIES WENT CRAZY! I must say that H&M did have a a great plan. They gave every 20 shoppers 10 minutes to do their shopping from the Jimmy Choo collection of shoes and handbags. One woman said she was prepared to get “physical”

People came from all over the country for this launch. One woman and her friend came from Philadelphia and joined the line that started at 9pm around 10:30pm for these shoes.  The store opened at 10:00am. One woman spent $300 on 3 pairs of shoes at H&M and would have spent $1500 if she would have bought original Jimmy Choo’s. One woman spent $7,000 on shoes, boots, accessories, and clothes for herself and her family.

I understand that many women live for labels, but is it that serious? The collection of shoes, handbags, and clothes is great and the prices ae reasonable, but I wonder if these women realize that the collection is there to stay? Do they realize that the stock will be replinished? They were truly acting like savages just for a label.  I am not against the Jimmy Choo x H&M collection, in fact, I will be making my rounds to H&M when the hype dies down, but they are truly acting like savages. I guess its like back when I was in middle school and high school when we used to go crazy for Jordans, so this is the same huh? I guess this is the adult high-end version of people acting like neanderthals huh. I  laughed when I read this article in the DailyNews.

I can’t get over the fact that the woman spent $7,000 on the collection. If you have 7Gs to blow at H&M I’m pretty sure you have a pair of Jimmy Choo’s somewhere. The bosses in the H&M and Jimmy Choo offices are sitting back smiling now. They launched at the perfect time. Just in time for the holidays.
