With the Holiday Season fast approaching I know many of you may be too busy or too overwhelmed to even think about what to wear for your office holiday parties, Christmas dinner, or even New Year’s Eve.

Maybe you have tons of clothes but do not know what to wear or how to put looks together with what’s in your closet.

Well I am offering the following personal styling services

  • Wardrobe audit– what to keep, save, giveaway, or throw away. We will also create a list of what to replenish your wardrobe with.  During this process we will get rid of the clutter and organize your life. Find out what you really have so you won’t buy what you don’t need
  • Personal Styling-holiday parties, birthdays, meeting the parents, job interview, or if you simply want to reinvent your style I will work with you to identify your wants and your needs to create a functional wardrobe or the perfect look for a special occasion.
  • Virtual Styling- get the same benefits of personal styling and personal shopping but via online. I will do the research to find your must have items!

If interested in any of these services or if you have general questions please send me an email so that we can setup a consultation. Janique@hergoodybag.com

My friend Kim (makeup artist) is also offering services so hit her up as well!

*NYC area only for in person consultations.

Christmas is this coming Sunday and so if you are not wrapping gifts, fighting through the crowds of last minute shoppers, or standing on extremely long lines, you are probably thinking about what to wear. Well don’t fret, as always we’ve got you covered. Check out these looks that will have you ready for Christmas

1. My go-to look: The Sweater Dress. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, sweater dresses. They are the easy things to throw on because they require little maintenance and are perfect pieces for layering. Pair with a colored blazer, over-sized cardigan, skinny belt, riding boots, ankle boots, OTK Boots…the options are endless. Try going for a sweater dress in a neutral color for more layering options.

Christmas Day Outfits

2. If the sweater dress is a little too casual and you want something a little more glamorous then opt for something with sequin or shimmer. Whether it be a top, or a sweater, keep it subtle since most likely you will be in a small family setting. I’m pretty sure you do not want to look like the ornaments on your Christmas tree.

3. So if the last look was too over the top, then get in to the holiday spirit with a festive sweater. No I am not talking about the sweaters that the old women wear on TV that light up or have tons of little Santas and reindeer on them. Think more of the Bill Cosby pattern, something that says winter wonderland, but remember not to bombard your family with tons of little snow flakes. Wear the sweater with your favorite pants or dark denim jeans for a more polished look.

Christmas Outfit Idea

4. The last look features 2 huge trends right now; plaid skirts, and over-the knee- socks. The look is very preppy and perfect for a chic look for the holidays. Since the temperature is steadily dropping I would pair my OTK socks with some tights of a different color for warmth and to add a contrasting color.

Stay tuned next week to see what look I chose to wear on Christmas day! Happy Holidays and Happy Shopping!

Featured Look: Orange Crush

I have been obsessed with the color orange lately. I am not sure why, but many of the looks that I have styled lately all featured something orange. I never really liked the color, although it is one of my alma mater’s colors (LU Lincoln Pride), but it is definitely growing on me. I may need to add a few pieces to my wardrobe.
