My homecoming is this week and I have been getting quite a few requests on what to wear. Last week I did a post on what to wear to the Alumni Cabaretand today my focus is the football game. I put together a few looks. No one goes to the football game to actually watch the game. This is the time where we catch up with old friends before we had back to the main campus. We see everyone from the Dean, old RAs, professors and even our old college sweethearts.

The football game is where everyone tailgates and just chill. Dressing for this event is very tricky. You do not want to be climbing up and down bleachers in 5inch heels, no matter how “comfortable” they are. You don’t want to wear a fur coat because you are at a sporting event and you will look like the girl who tries way too hard.  Not only do you have to dress for the actual game, you have to be prepared to stand and mix and mingle with all of your old friends for the rest of the day when you go back to the yard. This is when the Greeks do their greek sings and they have the homecoming parade so be prepared for a lot of standing. So all of these looks will feature a pair of flat boots. Wedges are ok, depending on how long you plan on standing, but flat boots are always the go to for an event like this. They are stylish and comfy. Trust me when I tell you there is nothing worse then being in pain because you tried to be cute in a pair of heels.

This look is for the girl who is very laid black. A cute chunky knit sweater, suede boots, t-shirt, and scarf for when it gets chilly. I love gross body bags because they keep your arms free.
