I am a huge fan of OCC and their lip tars. I own about 7 or 8. Take a look at the new collection

I am not into anything sci-fi so I don’t get any of the name references (maybe A Clockwork Orange) but I love the colors here!

The collection can be purchased through OCC

This past Friday I had the opportunity to attend the press preview for OCC Cosmetics Spring/Summer 2012 Collection “The Garden.”  I was first introduced to OCC by my friend Kim and now I am a huge fan of OCC for a number of reasons:

  1. All of their products are 100% Vegan and also animal-cruelty free
  2. All of the products are heavily pigmented so a little goes a long way
  3. Reasonably priced for high quality products
  4. Long lasting staying power of the products, especially the lip tars

The newest collection is very unexpected for spring. One would think with spring there would be lots of pinks and rose colors, but what OCC did was use the garden as inspiration and not only focus on the typical floral appeal. Take a look at some photos and the press release with product details and price points.

The Garden Collection Below with swatches

Here I am playing around with a few colors

I purchased the pink lip tar which is not part of the spring collection, but it is called Pretty Boy. I was convinced by many of the attendees to try on the blue liptar Rx because it matched my pants. Everyone loved it! Some people were calling me Nicki Minaj which I thought was funny. I actually kept the blue liptar on for the rest of the evening. So many people stared and I just smiled. I guess it’s not everyday that you see someone with blue lips walking the street. The owner David Klasfeld said it looked amazing and actually gave me the liptar as a gift, which I thought was so kind.

Here I am with the founder David Klasfeld

Lastly, there was a live demonstration of how to use some of the products. Check out the gorgeous model

Press Release

Introducing The Garden, OCC’s newest colour collection for Spring / Summer 2012! Spring has sprung at OCC and hidden among the lilacs and pansies are different shades of floral. Inspired not by garden variety roses but psychotropic and poisonous plants, this collection turns traditional spring pastels upside down, injecting them with hallucinatory notes of nearly-neon vibrancy. Mixed in are more subtle neutral lip shades, meant to be paired with a dizzying flash of color on the eyes, in this garden of earthly (and unearthly) delights.
