I have a confession to make, I have not worn heels in quite a few months. This winter has really put a damper on my style. I’m not like other bloggers who know they are freezing dressing like it is spring or early fall in 20 degree weather. I’m not about that life. I’m more about wearing stylish clothes and dressing for the weather. I know that’s rare these days, but a few of us normal people still exist :). Anywho, I’ve been wearing lots of riding boots, suede shooties (it’s like a bootie and a shoe), UGGs (they keep me warm don’t judge), and other ankle boots. Nothing with a real heel and very practical for keeping warm. I will be so glad when those days are over. I came across these beauties below and instantly fell in love!

These are perfect for spring and incorporating color into your wardrobe. The would go great with tea length dresses, midi-bodycon dresses, skater skirts, pencil skirts, skinny jeans, cargo pants and more! A pump is a very versatile shoe, but what sets this shoe apart from other pumps is the cut-out detail, which will be huge this spring. So if you want to try something bold click here to order this beauty!

The first look consists of a cocktail dress, pumps, and bold jewelry. You can never go wrong wearing a cocktail dress. Most likely you have one in your house that you have never worn or you haven’t worn in years (or maybe I’m just the guilty one). Cocktail dresses are simple and easy to accessorize. You do not have to choose red, you can choose any color that you would like, as long as it compliments your skin tone.

Date Night Look

The second look is a little more sophisticated. Cocktail dresses are usually very sexy. So if you are more conservative, you can wear a pencil skirt and a nice blouse with a pair of  ankle boots. I like the raspberry and teal color combination so I decided to mix those colors.

Dinner and Dancing

The last look is a bit spicy. It features an intricately detailed black jumpsuit with spiked heels, rosette clutch and bold cocktail ring. The design of the jumpsuit is edgy yet sexy. The straight leg allows you to wear almost any type of shoe but I would go with a pump. Because the jumpsuit is all black, I decided to add blue spiked heels for some contrast.

Jumpsuits and Blue

This is just part 1. Stay tuned for part 2 coming later this week!

This look is great if you want an alternative to jeans and a t-shirt. The leather like t-shirt and paper bag pants paired with leather and suede booties scream luxe. If you are tired of the standard t-shirt and jeans for casual, this will definitely add some sophistication to your look.

What To Wear Tips

  • Wear something that allows you to breathe. We usually eat a ridiculous amount of food this day so you want to wear things that will camouflage the tummy. Peasant tops, flowy blouses, tunics- are all great choices
  • Leggings are always appropriate for this day, especially if you are in the kitchen or are part of the clean up crew. Pair with some riding boots or just a flat boot and you will look downtown chic.
  • Just because you will be in the house with the fam does not mean that you have to look like you are lounging. Put on a full face and some great jewelry and the food won’t be the only thing your family is talking about!

This dress is a perfect transitional dress for the fall. It can be worn on cool summer nights as well as in the day. When the fall hits, just put on a pair of tights and a pair of booties and you are ready to go. This dress is perfect for day to night as well. So if you have an event after work a quick change of accessories and you are ready for that afterwork shindig.

This would be a great dress for Fashion’s Night Out, which is right around the corner. Start getting your looks together 🙂

The dress is currently on sale for $33 at Miss Selfridge. Check it out here

It’s Friday, Friday *Rebecca Black Voice* and you know what that means…yes, another Fab Under $50 post. This weeks post features a huge trend that many are partaking in…the midi skirts. I actually have a midi skirt that I got from a shop-n-swap I attended, but I have yet to wear it. I think the skirt is more for the fall because of the color scheme. Anyway, enough talking check out this weeks items.
