Mary J. Blige was spotted earlier this week rocking a red blazer, red pumps, skinny jeans, and a yellow top with a pair of cat eye frames. Nowadays cat eye frames are on (almost) everyone’s wish list. They are a more fun version of the traditional readers. They are sophisticated, but add a little spice to your look.

I love te look of the frames Mary is wearing, but not necessarily on her. The fames seem to age her. I’m not sure if it is because of the hair style, but the frames just do not look as good as they could.

Here are some options for cat eye frames if you want to take on this look

This weekend journalists, models, actresses, musicians, comedians, politicians and a host of others pulled out their “best” for the 98th Annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner. This occasion is one that is fun and filled with laughs. Let’s take a look at what some of our favorite celebs wore

Whenever I see a photo of the President and First Lady I just smile. They are amazing. I have yet to see a full length photo of Michelle Obama’s dress, but from what I can see it is beautiful. FLOTUS is just radiant. She is a true beauty.

Mary J. Blige and husband Kendu Isaacs attended the event. I am not crazy about Mary’s look. I can see she tried to add a pop of color with the red shoe, but the shoe just doesn’t compliment the dress well. I love the top of Mary’s dress, and probably would love the entire look if she chose a different shoe.

Kerry Washington went for a spring fresh look. Her natural makeup and minimal accessories down plays the look. I love the color on Kerry but I think with a little more drama she would have us all amazed, as she usually does.

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz attended the event and it seems like she thought she  was just going to a regular dinner, not a dinner at the white house. Maybe I’m being a little too critical, but this look is too relaxed and that belt needs to go.

John Legend and Christine Teigen are just the cutest. She knows how to wear a red dress! Their look is super chic and they compliment each other very well.

Sticking with the Black and Red theme we have Viola Davis and her husband. She looks so regal in this red gown.

Rashida Jones wore a peplum gown to the event. Her style is very quirky, but it works for her. I actually love the gown and would love it more if it was a short cocktail dress.
