The wait is over for the most anticipated launch of the summer, “Material Girl” by the original Material Girl herself Madonna, and daughter Lourdes (Lola). There will be prizes and giveaways at the launch, but you have to get there early!

The first 200 people on line will receive a bandeau top from the collection and a $10 giftcard to shop the collection. Those who show up in their best “Material Girl” inspired outfit will win an autographed t-shirt by Madonna. This deal is only offered in 6 cities and of course NYC is one of them! 

The celebration continues later that evening around 5pm with a special appearance and live performance by actress and singer, Taylor Momsen only in New York.

Some may feel this line is a bit “young” but there are great pieces in this collection that can update your look without you looking like a teeny bopper. The key is knowing the right pieces to mix and match. They have a great motorcycle jacket that can be paired with a pair of skinny jeans and a simple t-shirt or their collection of rings can update any look.

About Material Girl:
The “Material Girl” collection was inspired and designed in collaboration with Madonna and her daughter Lourdes, along with Iconix Brand Group’s in-house fashion department. In addition to the back-to-school apparel collection, “Material Girl” will also launch in multiple categories including footwear, handbags and jewelry. The collection will retail from $12.00 to $40.00, comparative with pricing strategies at junior specialty stores. The strategy for growth will include additional categories in the lifestyle and beauty sectors, including fragrance, beginning 2011 as well as a rollout into additional Macy’s stores.
