To help kick things off, I have created my “Rock Star” Look. I would describe my style as classic with a modern twist and a hint of romance, so this is totally out of my element.

To achieve a rock star look you definitely need something black and something leather. You also need a graphic t-shirt and some skinny jeans or jeans that have been distressed or have that grungy feel. Converses, riding boots, or combat boots are the obvious options for your feet. You can also add accessories like fingerless gloves, spiked vests,  and of course shorts with ripped fishnets. The point of the rock star look is to appear tough and edgy.

So for my version of a rock star look, I paired my burgundy skinny jeans with a graphic tank- yes my tank has pearls lol- with my leather motorcycle jacket. I paired my look with a pair of black heels. I couldn’t get rid of myself totally so I added the heels and tank with the pearls lol. Do you all like my tough face in the first pic? Lol it didn’t last very long because I love smiling!

Well my birthday was Sunday and I went out Saturday night, but promised myself I would make it to church no matter what. I was extremely tired, but managed to put together a quick outfit since I was running late. I wanted to keep it low key for my birthday this year. I didn’t plan anything extravagant. I actually planned a quick dinner on Friday for Saturday because I really had not intentions on going out.

Without any time to shop and the weather quickly dropping I pulled out some of new items I purchased for the fall.

What I Wore

Here are a few photos from some of the festivities

Saturday I went to Brother Jimmy’s with my brother Lloyd, sister Chanell, friends Ian, Kim and her husband David, and Rob. The wait was long but we had a good time. We ordered the “Swamp Water” pictured above. Yes that is a drink inside of a fishbowl lol. No I did not drink that by myself, I had help lol.

Sunday my niece planned a “surprise party” even though she told me about it lol. The only thing I didn’t know was the theme. I think she picked Minnie Mouse because of the heels and her fanciness lol. Anyway I had a real party table with balloons, plates cups and even party bags. She was so excited. She wanted the party to start at 8am…she is too cute! My students even surprised me with a party during my lunch break at work. This was definitely a great birthday. Thanks to all who made it special.
