Happy Friday Ladies!

Sneaker’s (whether it be wedge sneakers, converse, hi-tops etc) have made a major place in the “fashionable” lady’s wardrobe this season.

Most fashion forward females are known more for their heels, wedges and the occasional ballet flats or loafers but it’s rare you ever see chicks with “style” in sneakers.  However, this season we’ve spotted some of our favorite, stylish celebrities wearing sneakers – from Beyonce to Rihanna, Brandy, Solange, Heidi Klum, Angela Simmons, Kimora Lee, Rachel Roy etc

I can’t lie, I used to only wear sneakers at the gym but over the last few months my love for the new wedge sneakers as well as seeing so many fly females (both celebrities and every day ladies) rockin’ sneakers in such a chic (yes, sneakers can be chic 🙂 ), fly and feminine way I have officially been inspired and have even purchased a couple of pairs!

I believe a lot of women avoid wearing sneakers because they feel that they aren’t “lady like” and don’t really know how to create a “girly” look that incorporates sneakers. However, there are so many ULTRA feminine ways that us ladies can wear sneakers while still oozing class and femininity we really have no excuse!  I mean seriously, if you can still look great while wearing sneaker’s why wouldn’t you wear them – THEY ARE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE (believe me your feet will thank you! 🙂

You can achieve that feminine look while wearing sneakers by ensuring that you wear form fitted, ultra girly pieces  (think leggings or really skinny jeans, mini/maxi skirts, floral prints, maxi or skater/a-line cut dresses, crop tops, shorts etc).

(By the way ladies, BooHoo.com has some really cute wedge sneakers very similar to the Isabel Marant & Marc Jacob versions.  Get em’ here.)

Will you be wearing sneakers?

I am not a huge sneaker head. I will take a pair of heels over sneakers any day. Well lately everyone has been raving over the Isabel Marant wedge sneakers (click here for post). I love the laid back casual look of the wedge sneaker and the fact that I can still get some height. I love the sneakers with skinny jeans, cut-off denim shorts, and even boyfriend jeans. These are perfect for an updated tomboy style.

Affordable brands like Ash, Steve Madden and Jeffrey Campbell have come up with their on versions of what many fashionistas are raving about. Check out their options below
