Today’s Style Inspiration is brought to you by MICHAEL BY Michael Kors. The Mock Neck Toggle Cardigan is very chic. With the current temperatures in New York, this is the best time to wear this style. For more warmth the sweater was styled with a faux fur neck warmer, but an infinity scarf will do. Pair it with some leggings and ankle boots or a pencil skirt, tights, and a pair of pumps, and you are set. This cardigan gives the shape of a cape but with sleeves.

The sweater retails for $175 but is currently on sale. Click here to purchase and click here for details on the entire look.

Hey guys!

The chilly weather is definitely upon us and it is time to pull out the heavier jackets. The temperatures are in the mid to high 50s and even low 60s in some places so now is time to add a heavier layer to your daily wardrobe. When it comes to great casual jackets a bomber is a top pick. Whether you get one that is casual or dressy, leather, or nylon, bombers are classic jackets that would be a great addition to anyone’s wardrobe. Go for a modern update with mixed textures like nylon and fur, or leather and suede. The colors and patterns are endless. Below are some great options check them out.

This past weekend I was in the sunny state of Florida where temperatures reached 90 degrees. I was in shorts, rompers, and sandals for three days and then I had to come back home to 46 degree weather. I couldn’t believe my eyes as I watched the news as my plane landed at JFK. It was 46 degrees in New York and I only had a on a denim jacket. Well this weather reminded me of one of the few things that I like about fall, all of my wonderful boots and booties.

One of my favorite pairs would have to be these leopard print wedge booties that I scored last year for $30 on sale. As most of you know I love leopard print and I was on cloud 9 when I spotted these in the window of a boutique in Brooklyn. I just had to take a trip down memory lane. These babies will be making an appearance on my feet pretty soon 🙂

Fall weather is in the air! Although I love summer, I am really starting to dig fall. I have been sleeping like a BABY!  I never realized how soothing and calming it is until now. Anyway, this week NYC is not getting out of the 70s. In the morning it will be in the mid to high 50s and the evenings will drop to the low 60s, so you are definitely in need of a light weight jacket for these finicky temperatures.

Some of my favorite styles are classic leather motorcycle jackets, cropped leather jackets, floral print blazers, peplum jackets, and of course the always chic trench coat. Take on a trend by adding spikes and other embellishments to the sleeves and collars. The possibilities are endless. Take a look below and shop the latest trends and also classic styles. All jackets are $150 or less so there is something for everyone’s budget! Happy shopping!

Wax On, Wax Off! Waxed Denim

What was that? What are waxed jeans? I’m glad you asked! Waxed jeans are just regular denim pants with a wax coating to add a different shine and texture to the material. Waxed jeans go by other names such as waterproof jeans, painted jeans, or black coated jeans as well. Waxed jeans are also very similar to leather pants. So if you want a more affordable option that allows your skin to breathe easier, then waxed jeans are definitely for you. They come in a variety of colors and I think the perfect cut would be a skinny jean or slim leg/straight leg jeans. To try the trend check out the options below.
