So you say you want to color-block for the winter? Well this sweater from ASOS is just what you need. The two-toned sweater has a crew neckline and the raspberry and blue contrasting colors would make any pair of black pants or a black skirt pop.

You can wear the sweater exactly how the model is wearing it with a pair of black pants and if you want to add a touch of glam, just put on a black faux fur vest and you will have a luxe look instantly.

Not only do I love the color of this sweater, I also love the price. For $26 (plus shipping) this baby could be yours.

I was browsing a few of my favorite sites and came across this red flowy skirt from Top Shop

So here are a few looks that I styled using this skirt from Top Shop

Look #1 features the very popular color blocking trend. I love the shoes in this look. I was a little skeptical about pairing red with yellow…I think of Wendy’s and McDonald’s but I think they work well together.

Look #2 This look is a nautical inspired look. The nautical look never gets old and although it is after July 4th, the look is still summer appropriate.

Look #3 I like to think of this look as the whimsical look. The flowy crop top brings that element out for me.

Look #4 This look is for the breezy summer days or nights. I am not a fan of wearing a scarf in the summer but I know many people who do and that look works for them. This look is also very casual since it is paired with mocassins.

Yesterday I did a post on the color-blocking trend with shoes and today I will continue with this same trend. One of my favorite retailers, Zara, has AMAZING pieces for color-blocking in their April look book. Zara’s take on color is similar to the color blocking trend seen with Gucci.

There is an art to color blocking and it is simply to find the complimentary colors. Check out more photos from Zara’s April lookbook

Color-blocking is a hugh trend for the spring and summer. Some people color-block with their outfits (orange top, pink skirt, blue shoes) while others just stick to one item like a fierce shoe. Color-blocked heels are simply awesome. You have endless possibilities of what you could wear with them. You have the freedom to mix and match with almost any color at long as it coordinates. One pair that I absolutely love right now are the Jessica Simpson Bendie Platform Sandals. This shoe is brightly hued and will surely get you noticed.

Color blocking is one of my favorite trends for spring. If you are not sure how to mix and match colors, look for a color-blocking tunic or dress and the mixing-n-matching is done for you. You can also look for the color-blocking trend in shoes or even handbags.
