Holiday parties are quickly approaching and if you are anything like me, you will wait til the very last minute to begin looking for that perfect holiday look. Well time is winding down so I created a few looks for inspiration.

The first look is a classic holiday look. It is very sophisticated and elegant. The bold color and intricate oragami style detailing makes this dress  a definite show stopper. Pink with teal is the perfect way to mix and match color with looking like something out of the 80s. Natural make up and turquoise jewelry completes the look

The next look is very rocker chic. This little black dress is sophisticated yet sexy. You will feel glamorous, sexy, and edgy with the studded shoulder detailing and the gathered v-style split. I can definitely see Ciara in a similar dress. Pair with either gravity-defying pumps or over-the-knee boots and a bold red lip to complete the look.

This last look is menswear inspired with a touch of glam. If the temperature is frigid and you do not want to face the blistering cold, go with a pair of black skinny pants, a sequins tank top, and tuxedo jacket. You will definitely turn heads because you are going against “holiday tradition” from wearing a cocktail dress to a sexy tuxedo. A smokey eye and nude lip completes the look.

Forbes 2010 Most Powerful Women list is one to remember. Forbes divided their list in to four categories: 1. Politics 2. Business 3. Lifestyle (fashion, entertainment, sports) and 4. Media. This year our first lady, Michelle Obama, is #1 and she is the world’s most powerful woman.

#3 Oprah Winfrey, Ellen Degeneres #10, Hillary Clinton #5, Beyonce Knowles #9, and Lady Gaga #7 all made the top 10 list of the most powerful women in the world. I am not surprised that Lady Gaga or Beyonce are on this list, but I am surprised that Lady Gaga is in the top 10. Her fan base has grown tremendously and will only continue to do so. This list includes, CEOs, athletes, actors, designers, politicians and more women around the world, not just in the US. Other American notables that made the list are Martha Stewart #99, Katie Couric #22, Angelina Jolie #21, Madonna #29, Melinda Gates #27, Sarah Paline #16, and a host of others.

Being named a powerful woman, or the most powerful woman, shows the amount of influence these women have over people in the world. If you have power, that means you are influential. This is a huge honor and also responsibility because this shows people look up to these women and they are admired. They need to be kept grounded and in prayer because one wrong decision will be devastating to so many.

So many events took place this weekend and some of our favorite celebs came looking their absolute best, others…not so much. Here is a recap of what happened this past weekend.

Raven-Symone, Keke Palmer, Bria Murphy

Sade, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Alicia Keys performing with Sade, Kerry Washington

Dondria, Kelly Rowland, and Keri Hilson BET Hip Hop Awards pre-parties (Keri Hilson looks a bit awkward, I think its the shades)

Insert .:bbm confused face:. Stylist Derek J’s e, Shanelle, MC Hammer with Diddy and Rick Ross, and Antoine Dodson. Antoine Dodson performed his famous “Bed Intruder” song at the Hip Hop awards this year. BET….I have no words

Beyonce and Tina have a totally new look for House of Dereon. Usually the line consists of gaudy shoes, t-shirts, and jeans. When you style a look with multiple pieces from this line it is often very confusing. But for the fall/winter 2010 season they have ditched the t-shirts (for now) and gave us rocker chic.

I am loving the black bodycon dress with lace detailing and the strong shoulders. This is uber sexy and sophisticated. The styling was done perfectly for this look. Beyonce’s accessories from the necklace to the shoes and motorcycle scream I’m bad. The updo and cateye add a nice touch as well.

I have never purchased anything from this line, but if this is the direction they are going in, they may have found a new customer.

Today’s inspired celebrity look is from none other than Beyonce.
