Lela Rose Spring 2012 is centered around the neon graveyard. She was inspired by the “unrestored and broken signs that dot the landscape of Las Vegas and Coney Island.”

In this collection Lela Rose used bleached metallic tweed, stripped paint twill, and washed out voile to “recall what was a garish glow of the new that have now faded overtime to tell a story of what was.”

The colors used in this collecton included faded lemon, periwinkle, and neon tangerine brings this collection to life.

Her collection includes stripped paint dresses with piping detail, bleached sunset tweed, and jacquard sheath dresses

Burlap double face zip front coat, cyclone paneled shorts, light bulb lace dress, threaded canvas piped jacket, bleach shell, letter blocked silk shorts

This electric orange coat and carnival print skirt had to be my favorite. I was in awe as this model walked down the runway. Nothing says spring and summer like birhgt colors and bold patterns.

I loved the softness of softness of the materials and the subtleness of the polka dots and embroidery.

The electric navy fringe was also a nice surprise. I loved how the fringe swayed. It was a site to see.

Most of Giovanna Randall’s Honor Collection for the Spring of 2012 can be described as soft and romantic. In this collection, you will see polka dots, lace, sheer tops, and cupcake dresses. She also adds a bold element by incorporating hot pink skirts and suits. Most of the collection is very soft and subtle, but there are a few bold looks that created an interesting juxtaposition of the looks. here are some of my favorite pieces.

Paisley Silk Organza Cupcake dress

Leaf lace tee and drindl

Black and white polka dot shirt and blouse along with a hot pink sharkskin suit with a gold collar

Hot pink lace tank top with long pleated skirt, polka dot drindl skirt

Gwen Stefani continues to take the fashion world by storm and her latest collection is simply amazing! I loved the  entire L.A.M.B. collection. There are very few designers where I love just about everything, but this Spring 2012 collection gave me life. What I love most about Gwen Stefani and her designs is that her clothes are made for the REAL, young, modern woman. There are no gimmicks when it comes to Stefani’s designs.

I love the look of all three pairs of shorts, because they are very versatile and can be worn during the day or evening. The looks are very well put together, but still gives you a little bit of edge especially with the sheer black top and the metallic shorts.

I love Stefani’s take on the mens inspired jumpsuits and also her use of patterns. The zigzag and pinwheel design is bold and eye catching. the black and white skirt is also great and I love how such a feminine piece as the skirt is paired with a quilted leather jacket to toughen up the look.

These three pieces are definitely in my top 5 favorite looks from this collection. The black, white, and red combination is never over done. It is classic, but I love Stefani’s twist on something traditional like this color scheme. The prints are not too over bearing and gives a luxurious feel and look.

Once again great colors and bold patterns are used. Many people felt that color blocking was over done this season, but if you feel this way, this is a more subtle take on colorblocking. Stick to a multicolor print in a geometric pattern to achieve this look.

I was just blown away with Caroline Herrera’s Spring 2012 collection. I have always been a fan of Carolina Herrera’s work and this season she just blew me away.

I love how her pieces are effortlessly chic. The silhouettes of her pieces are always classic and sophisticated. What really gets everyone excited is the use of color, patterns, and texture. I love the pattern used for both of these dresses. I love that the fact that Carolina Herrea veared away from the traditional v-neck and went with something more modern.

Geometric prints ruled Herrera’s runway. She created ey-catching pieces in strong prints using delicate materials like chiffon. The last dress is very ambitious, especially for this designer, but the mixture of prints and materials created a very unique look.

Again great execution mixing prints. These looks are very bold and daring, especially for today’s modern woman.

The geometric prints and classic lady-like silhouettes  are what had me at hello. The fact that Mrs. Herrera can create bold looks using soft materials and colors truly amazes me.

This collection has me anticipating spring and Fall hasn’t even officially started. I do know that most of these looks will be added to my mood boards that will keep me focused until spring arrives again.

Fashion Week is in full swing and the celebs are out and about. While at the tents I ran in to a few celebs also. My favorite being Mariska Hargitay (Olivia from Law & Order SVU). I totally went in to groupie mode when I saw her lol. I’ve never been that excited before.

Carmelo Anthony, Russel Simmons, Angela Simmons

June Ambrose, Solange, Aisha Tyler, Emil Wilbekin

Solange looks amazing!

Selita Ebanks, Angela Bassett, Tika Sumpter

I love June’s suit! The color looks great on her.

I wasn’t going to post this picture of Nicki but I did anyway. There is a fine line between avant garde and just straight tacky.

Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys
