Archives for December 2011

So 2011 is quickly coming to an end and if you still have not found the perfect outfit from any of our previous posts then maybe seeing the outfits put together will give you inspiration.

When it comes to dressing for a New Year’s Eve party you want to pull out all of the stops. Depending on if you are going to an upscale event at a fancy restaurant or club, or if you are going to bring in the new year with a classic house party you want to make sure you look your best, because you know what they say, the way you leave is the way you enter and you want to make sure you leave and enter FLY. Whether you want to go for the glitz and glam look with metallics, shimmer, and sequins, or the classic fierce look with an LBD we have something for you.

So check out these looks and we hope they will (Click on any of the images for a closer look or hit the arrow to scroll through the looks)

From our families to yours, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas! We hope your day is filled with lots of love, peace, joy, and happiness! Cherish this time with those you love! Have a blessed day!

With the holiday season quickly coming to an end, we need to make sure we have everything to end the year with a bang. Since we featured holiday party dresses and sequin skirts, it is only right that we dedicate a post specifically for shoes. Yes our beloved shoes must be on point to compliment the dress to set the look off. So here are some great options of all colors, textures, and styles that are under $100! Check them out

With the Holiday Season fast approaching I know many of you may be too busy or too overwhelmed to even think about what to wear for your office holiday parties, Christmas dinner, or even New Year’s Eve.

Maybe you have tons of clothes but do not know what to wear or how to put looks together with what’s in your closet.

Well I am offering the following personal styling services

  • Wardrobe audit– what to keep, save, giveaway, or throw away. We will also create a list of what to replenish your wardrobe with.  During this process we will get rid of the clutter and organize your life. Find out what you really have so you won’t buy what you don’t need
  • Personal Styling-holiday parties, birthdays, meeting the parents, job interview, or if you simply want to reinvent your style I will work with you to identify your wants and your needs to create a functional wardrobe or the perfect look for a special occasion.
  • Virtual Styling- get the same benefits of personal styling and personal shopping but via online. I will do the research to find your must have items!

If interested in any of these services or if you have general questions please send me an email so that we can setup a consultation. Janique@hergoodybag.com

My friend Kim (makeup artist) is also offering services so hit her up as well!

*NYC area only for in person consultations.

With Christmas only a few days away, we have probably wrapped most, if not all, of our gifts. If you haven’t you might want to get going with the wrapping so that all of the cutting and taping won’t interfere with your holiday inspired manicures. I usually just do a simple manicure in a bold color like candy apple red, or something with lots of glitter, but this year I want to take it up a notch and truly get in the holiday spirit.

Here are some great ideas for holiday inspired manicures.

Yes, some of these designs are EXTREME. I am not going to have a huge santa hanging off of my ring finger. That is definitely not going to happen, but the idea is cute lol. I probably won’t get a design on each nail, but I will jazz it up a bit. Stay tuned to see the outcome of my holiday inspired mani. In the meantime check out a few more designs in the gallery.
