“Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors” Proverb

Adversity is defined as a condition marked by misfortune, calamity, or distress; harship or affliction.

Arthur Golden once said “Adveristy is like a strong wind. It tears away from us all but the things that cannot be torn, so that we see ourselves as we really are.” Adversity can be caused by man, satan, and God. You have to discern the cause of your harship to act accordingly.

When God brings adverse conditions to your life he is trying to build and develop your character. It is not a punishment he just wants you to develop into the person he has called you to be. So do not look at your hardships and complain but try to identify what God wants you to learn. Look for the lessons in order to become a better person.

If you got it flaunt it right? Well that is EXACTLY what Taraji P. Henson is doing. Her legs are amazing and she is not afraid to show them off with these SUPER short floral shorts. I am back with another, “What I Wore” post. This time my photog and I hit the streets EARLY in the morning before we both had to report to work. Our schedules have really been conflicting and we haven’t had time to shoot, but we got a few great shots in this yucky weather.

Once again the forecast called for rain. I was going to be stuck proctoring and grading exams all day so I wore:

Here are a few more pics

A Little runway fun down the hall lol.

These print magazines nowadays are putting in work. Beyonce has covered about 6 magazines for July alone. Now we have Meagan Good, Lala Vazquez, and Zoe Saldana. Check out their covers

Meagan Good talks about H.E.L.L.O Girls and being ready for a relationship in Heart & Soul. Her makkeup looks flawless in this picture. Her makeup is always on point in my opinion. I’ve read on other blogs that she looks too made up all of the time, but I think she looks great, all of the time. I’m only speaking about her makeup, we know Meagan is a repeat offender with her outfits not some, but all of the time. lol

Next up we have Zoe Saldana

Zoe Saldana covers Harper’s Bazaar Russia. I love the ice blue eyeliner/shadow. If I new Russian I would translate her little blurb, but I don’t so I won’t moving on…

Ms. Anthony covers PYNK Magazine and talks about being referred to as the First Lady of New York. I love Lala’s lavendar lip! I think Katricia by OCC is a great color to replicate this look check it out.

Who rocked their magaizne cover the best?

Next up for H&M? Why, it’s Donatella, darling!

Women’s Wear Daily reports that Versace will team up with the fast fashion chain for fall on a collection of womenswear, men’s clothes and home items to hitstores November 17. Versace will also put together a pre-spring collection to be sold online in select countries come January 19, 2012.

The Telegraph has even more details:

The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses featuring studded leather, silk and colorful print, with accessories including high heels and costume jewellery. The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including ‘the perfect tuxedo’, as well as belts and jewellery, while for the first time in a designer collaboration at H&M, the collection will include some homeware pieces, including cushions and a bedspread.

Donatella said in a statement, “I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere.” And the crowd went wild. Check out her official announcement below.

Interestingly, she previously declined offers to do a lower-priced diffusion collection. The Cut reported back in 2008 that Donatella told the audience at a New York Times’ TimesTalk series, “I respect everyone who does [those types of lines]. But the reason I didn’t do it is because I work very hard to put the Versace line in the luxury section. I think to put the Versace line in H&M would confuse the brand.”

Well this is extremely exciting! H&M plays no games when it comes to gettin designer collabs. Jimy Choo, Lanvin, and now Versace. When this line is released fashionistas all over will be at H&M doors ready to shop til they drop!

Will  you be partaking in the madness when this collection is released?
