Well the hype is finally over and we have seen the most talked about wedding dress. The last time there was so much hype around a dress was when Michelle Obama was choosing a dress for the Inauguration. Anyway, the dress was designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. It is such a shame that he is not here to witness this.

Here’s the dress

The dress is very, very nice, but there is no wow factor. Kate has been known to have impeccable style, but the dress was a tiny bit boring. I loved the top half of the dress with the lace and the details on the dress are gorgeous. The bottom half could have been kicked up a notch. I would have preferred to see her in something more fitted with a longer train.

Either way she was a beautiful bride. Congrats to both Kate and William.

What do you think about the dress?

I went to get a mani and pedi yesterday and wanted to try a color I’ve been craving for a while and that is Essie’s Turquoise & Caicos.

I LOVE THIS COLOR! It is perfect for the spring and summer. I wasn’t sure how it was going to look on me, but I love it.

Chinese Laundry “Talk to Me” Platform Sandal is the perfect sandal for the spring.

“With the big and chunky sandal look of the 70s back in trend, you’ll be stepping stylishly in this bold, strappy design from Chinese Laundry. The Talk to Me is crafted from leather and features an edgy, criss-cross upper with rivet detailing and an adjustable side buckle closure. Couple it with another hot style making a comeback — dressy shorts and matching blazer — and you’ll have the look of the season”  Source

I have neglected on of my favorite features! I can’t let this happen again. I’m back with this weeks Fab Under $50 post. One major “It Item” for spring is the crop top. I know some of you are like “Crop Tops? Not with this belly” I feel the same way. Almost anyone can wear a cropped top, it just depends what you pair it with.

If you do not want your stomach exposed, I suggest you layer a crop top over a tank top or camisole. You can still get the look, but with more coverage. Also the best way to wear a crop top and not look to juvenile or show parts of your body you do not want is to pair the top with a high-waisted skirt or high-waisted trousers or jeans. Once again you still achieve the look of the crop top but with more coverage.

Since crop tops are not full shirts, I don’t believe in paying more than $50 for it. Am I wrong?

Here are some great options  that are under $50
