A black turtleneck sweater is a must for a classic wardrobe. Some women are unable to wear turtlenecks, which is unfortunate, but for those of you who can, stock up on this classic piece. The turtleneck can be dressed up or down and goes with EVERYTHING from skinny jeans, slacks, to pencil skirts. This is definitely a go to piece that add instant glam or coolness to your everyday style. Here are three looks that can be worn with a classic black turtleneck during the fall/winter seasons

The start of this week has been a great preview for fall weather. I have been wearing light jackets and cardigan sweaters because it has been quite cool. This really isn’t the type of weather we would expect around this time because August is supposed to be the hottest of the summer months. Well, I can now say that I am officially ready for fall. I am surprised I’m saying this because anyone that knows me, know that I absolutely love spring and summer. Here is a preview of the Fall 2010 Campaign for Zara.

The cable knit sweaters, capes, blazers…I’m in love. These pieces are essential for fall and also essential for layering. Head to your nearest Zara and pick up a few pieces!

Makeup artist, actress, fashion expert, and TV personality Jeanni Mai is probably one of the most fashionable women on TV. Many people are vaguely familiar with her work, but I tune in every week to catch her host one of my favorite shows and the most popular show on the Style Network, How Do I Look? This is a makeover show that transforms people’s views about themselves. Once they really take a look in the mirror they can see the image they are projecting to the world based on their wardrobe. Then you have 3 accomplices (2 family members or friends, and a professional stylist) who create different collections to revamp the look of the fashion disaster.

The host Jeannie Mai never fails to amaze me with her wardrobe choices. I checked out her official blog (I Heart Jeannie Mai) and was excited to see that she actually posts her looks from the show. She gives a breakdown of the look and also links where you can purchase the items. Here are Jeannie’s looks from Episode 1102  w/ Genevieve.

What I love about Jeannie’s style is that it is very versatile. She gives modern chic, classic looks, edginess, and she does not break the bank. She mixes Forever 21 and H&M with high end pieces. She is also a fan of places like Zara and J. Crew. She shows that you do not have to spend thousands of dollars to look good.

Check out Jeannie and her incredible style Saturdays at 8pm on the Style Channel
