HGB Style Files: Tatyana Ali

Via MAMI Magazine

Pop culture mega-star and Will Smith’s kid cousin on worldwide syndicated show “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air”, Tatyana Ali, is breaking ground this upcoming year with a starring role in Martin Lawrence’s new sitcom, “Love That Girl,” premiering on January 19th. “Love that Girl” portrays the trials and tribulations of a newly divorcee (Tatyana Ali) as she moves back to Southern California to work with her father in the real estate business. Unconventionally shot over the course of five days, “Love That Girl” brought together producing and writing heads from such hit shows as “Full House,” “Martin,” and “The Jamie Foxx Show” to create a new kind of scripted series at an unusually reasonable cost.

I must first say congratulations to Mo’Nique on her first win as Best Supporting Actress in Precious. Even though I am not a fan of Mo’Nique’s I must say she did play the heck out of that role. Anyway, here are some photos last night’s event.

Ridiculous…I Mean “Reality”

posted by:

I have had it up to here (hands way above my head) with ridiculous reality shows. Everybody and their momma has one and it is annoying. Everyone always says well just get used to it…why do I have to get used to watching such random and ridiculous people embarrass themselves on tv? I was fine with just Real World and Road Rules but  now everyone has a show and they are not about anything! You get a show because you are the brother of a famous music icon, or because you happened to get knocked up by rappers and basket ball players, or you took so many fertility drugs taht you now have 50 million children…smh. The madness ahs got to stop. I watch TV maybe three times a week because nothing is on. I watch Law & Order, Operation Repo (don’t judge me) and whatever’s on the Food Network…Well we have a few more shows on the rise…Fabolous was tweeting about his reality show…being a new father and rapper on the road…boooooooo I love me some Fab come on…you already tweet your life…I really don’t want to see it.

The Jack5ons  reality show premieres December 13

crap

Now that Michael is gone…you are even more irrelevant! Especially Jermaine and his hair. (I do wonder if Jermajesty will be on the show…I really want to know how he feels about his name lol)

Now we have Basketball Wives which is a show about the lives of wives, ex-wives, and fiances, of NBA players…the show was pitched by Shaquille O’Neal’s wife Shaunie O’Neal and was picked up by VH1…aren’t they getting a divorce….again what makes them relevant!

57541733DS_DNA036702028

This series is about the insider life of the wives, girlfriends and a few ex-wives of some of the biggest ballers in the game. These ladies live the life. But living the high life is not all glamour. In order to protect it, they have to deal with the jealousies and dramas of living in — and staying in — the inner circle. They must also keep the groupies at bay while their husbands and boyfriends are traveling… wondering if their spouses are being faithful to them.

The cast is filled with the wives and ex-wives of superstars including Jennifer Williams (wife of Eric Williams), Evelyn Lozada (ex-fiancé of Antoine Walker), Mesha O’Neal (wife of Jermaine O’Neal), Royce Reed, Faith Rain (Udonis Haslem’s girlfriend) and Shaunie O’Neal (wife of Shaquille O’Neal) who will also serve as Executive Producer on the series.

Isn’t Antoine Walker broke….so I guess she needs money huh….

crap2

Don’t get me started on them….why are they still trying to sell themselves through sex! Where’s the self-respect…the only way to get ratings is to be drunk, pregnant, sleeping with multiple men, “break up” with your footbally player boyfriend, make a sex tape, curse out your mother, be a “lesbian” for a day, or have a fake marriage.

“What my mother taught me” I am going to be nice…lol

crap3

Maybe I should get all of my friends that are teachers and pitch a reality show of a young teacher living in NYC. Wait…that may be a little too conservative for America. Do they really want to hear about the lives of young professionals who respect themselves and refuse to be subjected to the bufoonery on other reality shows? People complain about how they are portrayed in the Media…stop giving them the ammo and you will not be portrayed as a drunk, drug addicted, skank. Yess I am mad if you can’t tell already. My rant is over.

What will these people do next?

Victoria Secret Fashion Show

I wasn’t really to impressed with this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Many of the looks were just confusing. There was no continuity and it just seemed like many things were thrown together. I did enjoy some of the looks. Here are a few pics of some things that I loved and some things that I just hated. What were your favorite looks?

Breaking the Silence

posted by:

rihannaIs Miss Fenty ready to break her silence? Is she doing this for sympathy or to promote her new album? If it is for the latter, interesting marketing plan (I hope it doesn’t back fire). Whatever her reasoning is, I really want to hear what she has to say. I think she has been silent for too long, but I just hope she is sincere. I hope she doesn’t just give the “politically correct” answer, but admit her faults (if any) and only focus on Chris and his issues. Hopefully what she has to say will help millions of women who are facing or have faced the issue of domestic violence.

I was never intrigued by Rihanna’s character, honestly she’s really dry and doesn’t really seem to have much of a personality, but none the less I will be tuning in to Good Morning America and 20/20 Friday November 6 to hear Her Story.

Here she is as Tony the Tiger or maybe just a tiger at Mariah Carey’s halloween party at M2 in NYC
