So we know that fringe and faux fur are hot trends right now, but we all know that sometimes trends can be taken to the extreme. So here we have Selita Ebanks and Angela Simmons. Both have an interesting take on this season’s hottest look. Who should rock it and who should drop it?

Todays post features only two items, but these two items coincide on what you can expect for the Fall.

C. Label Alisa Pump via DSW which retails for $45

“Mix the hottest trends together and you have the C. Label Alisa platform. Oxford lacing, a slingback, and peep toe will pump up your look in no time” Click here to purchase

Harvest Fields Blouse via QuickSilver $42

“ blouse that’s sun-soaked in vivid color, but so airy in poly georgette, it will catch the slightest hint of breeze. Detailed with shirring at the shoulders and a slender button placket.” Click here to purchase

Remember three of the hottest color trends are shades of mustard, rust, and blue. These are great ways to introduce these colors in to your wardrobe!

I thought this trend would be over done, but I feel differently now. The color combinations are endless. Kelly has been killing them lately with her looks and this orange and blue combo is definitely giving me my fashion fix. The colors orange and blue are dear to me already (shout out to my alma mater Lincoln University of PA) so I have a natural liking for this color combo.

Are you over the color blocking trend? What color combinations have you put together lately?

Ameriie and Estelle have both been spotted recently rocking this color combination. Is this a new trend? If so I have select pieces in both black and pink that will update your look.

Tights and peep toe shoes or booties could be a great look if done properly. It can also be a catastrophe if the person tries too hard to pull off this look. Many people are still on the fence about this trend; others, not so much. Wearing tights with peep toe shoes or booties gives you the opportunity to extend the life of your spring/summer shoes that can be warn in the fall.

When wearing this trend, PLEASE do not do this

  1. The shoes are hideous
  2. The sandal foot is a major no no!

So although this style is not new would you rock tights and peep toes?

I don’t know if you can really call this a trend because some women have been wearing ruffles for decaes, but this look was seen all over the A/W 2010 runways during fashion week. This “trend” is very feminine and chic. Great for a casual look, work, or a night on the town. This fall, go beyond tops and dresses, look for ruffled skirts, jackets, and also accessories like shoes and bags. Because of the volume of the ruffles, this look should be paired with tailored itmes like a slim jacket, or a slim/sleek pants. Here are a few pieces that will definitely ruffle some feathers.

  1. Dorothy Perkins mink ruffled cardigan $32
  2. Forever 21 Fiona Ruffle Satin Top $17.80
  3. Miss Selfridge Cream 3/4 Sleeve Tier Top $42
  4. Arden B. Ruffle Front Tie Shoulder Tunic $22
  5. Oasis Ruffle Cardigan $16
  6. Candies designed by Britney Ruffled Tunic $38
  7. Forever 21 Ruffled Crinkle Top $19.80
  8. Boden Ruffle Top $38

  1. Pink Ruffle Pumps $29.99
  2. Merona Meaghan Ruffled Flat Shoes $19.99
  3. Suzy Smith Ruffle Print Bag $19
  4. Alloy Tasha Ruffle Skirt $32.90
  5. Rampage Rome Clutch Bag $47.49
  6. Metropark Navy French Terry Skirt $40
  7. System Ruffle Shoe $40
  8. Roxy Ruffled Up Shoulder Bag $30

All of the items listed are below $50. You do not have to spend a fortune to look good :-)

For the past year the nail craze was to paint four fingernails one color and have the one nail (usually the ring finger) a complimentary color. Well that is still a trend, and obviously many people have becomed bored with it, and so the latest nail fad is what HighSnobette have coined as “The Couture Manicure.”

This is a spin on the traditional french manicure. Many of you are probably rocking this look now, but during the summer be prepared to see combos like orange and pink, yellow and bluepeach and teal. Well not only is HighSnobette showing the “couture manicure” they also debuted the new collection from YSL Beauty which launches in August. More photos and details about the colors below

The shoes can be paired with othr bright colored dresses like Tyra or if you are wearing a multicolored dress like KeKe  Palmer choose one color to be the focus point. You can go simple with a plain white v-neck t-shirt, skinny jeans or boyfriend jeans and pair them with a bold shoe. They are great for daytime or the evening. The options are limitless.

Here are some choices that will definitely have you stopping traffic

Rihanna, Jordin Sparks, and LeToya Luckett all stepped out this week looking great. They are each rocking various trends hot for Spring/Summer 2010

  • Rihanna is rocking a fabulous nude dress. Not really feeling the rosey red cheeks but the shoes make up for it.
  • Letoya Luckett is in a gorgeous print dress that fits her frame perfectly. Paired with some nude platforms, she nailed this look.
  • Jordin Sparks through a little glam in her look with a sequins top and tulip skirt. The skirt is the perfect fit and shape, and pairing it with this particular top really slims the waist line…good job.
