Spring Forward: Shoe Report Pt. 1

posted by:

Spring time needs to come quick!!! This snow, slush, sleet mess needs to go away. As you all may know, I am not fond of the winter, but I know that I need this so I can appreciate spring and summer so much more. Well as I wait I am putting together transitional looks. So I have picked just a few pairs of shoes that I am considering purchasing (some not all) and guess what they are all under $30! That’s the good thing about Forever21. Their shoes are not uncomfortable either so that’s even better.

  1. Jean Basket Heel $29.80
  2. Strappy Ankle Pumps $29.80
  3. Mistress Buckled Stiletto $29.80

  6. Jennifer Peep Toe Boot $26.80

I especially like #4 and #5 and for about $52 you can’t go wrong

Hell on Heels: Rodarte NYFW

posted by:

These are truly a work of art! Rodarte always pushes the envelope when it comes to fashion and these shoes prove it! You all know I was in love with the Rodarte x Nicholas Kirkwood strappy boots worn by many celebs such as Amerie. Now these I probably wouldn’t wear, I mean my students would be paying more attention to my feet then the board lol. Even though these are not your average shoe they are still simply amazing to look at.

They light up and glow in the. I guess its the grownup version of LA Gears huh?

So futuristic…this is being fashion forward. HGB Approved.

This is one of the best shoe sales that I have ever been too! I went for the first time last year and I am mad that I never went before. I bought a pair of wedge heel Uggs (not like the pair EVERYONE is wearing) originally priced around $250 for $80 and Calvin Klein Snakeskin Slingbacks (great for work) originally priced at $150 for $47. My advice to you…..

1. Make a list of the shoes that you NEED. It will be easier to look for what you need based on a list as opposed to going in with nothing in mind. There will be too many options for you to brows. So have a list of what you need with you.

2. GET THERE EARLY!!!! It was a mad house! There are literally hundreds of shoes in boxes on tables, under tables, in corners and so forth.

3. Allow yourself time to browse. At times it was a bit overwhelming because there were too many selections.

4. Bring a huge shopping bag  (like the bags they give you at IKEA or Old Navy) You will need a place to hold all of your shoes. Two hands are not enough and if you are not with a friend your shoes will not be guarded. The shopping bag(s) will allow you to grab everything you want to narrow down your selections

5. Find a nice corner and try on the shoes in peace. It is quite difficult trying on shoes in the aisle when there are five women around you grabbing at boxes.
