When you have on a good bra your whole life changes. Ok maybe not your whole life, but definitely your entire look. Through out the year I wait patiently to see commercials or advertisements on the television and newspapers for Macy’s. I look through my Macy’s catalog’s religiously for the words “Bra Sale Buy 2 Get 2 Free.” I was just having this conversation with someone a few weeks ago. I was like man when was the last time Macy’s had a bra sale. Usually, it is buy 2 get 1 free, but that sale doesn’t get me excited.

So yesterday off I went to to rack up on some bras. I had to get fitted because the girls have been growing out of control like I’m going through puberty. It is just ridiculous. I also had a hard time finding the cute bras in my new size. I thought a 34D was a common size but they had almost everything but that. I don’t understand how they can have 2 full racks of As and Bs and one little lonely D rack. If all of the As and Bs are still there and the Ds are all gone, shouldn’t you have more Ds? The Ds that I did find were a 36 and 38. I mean really? Can  you have more of a variety…sheesh. Is that too much to ask?

I tried on about 12 bras and I ended up buying 7 pairs.  2 pairs were packaged together because they were 2 for $29.99. So I spent about $100 for 7 bras. I couldn’t find other bras that fit well so I ended up getting a bra for a family member as my 8th option.

I’ve come to realize that my favorite brand is Maidenform. First off, they always have bras in my size. I didn’t have to search high and low in their section.

I also love Maidenform because they are extremely comfortable. The straps are not too thick or too thin and they provide great support. Their t-shirt bras are my favorite.

Head to your local Macy’s for a proper fitting and to take advantage of such a great sale!

During these economic times, I know how hard it is to try to save when you see that cute dress in the window. When you get inside the store and find out the price you have a dilemma because you are not sure if you should purchase the item or save the money for something that is more important than a dress– that you won’t wear for months, or that you’ll wear just once. Well the Fab Under $50 section will be ,ore consistent and showcase everything from shoes, to accessories, to handbags. The best part about this  feature is that you won’t go broke from doing your favorite past time. So for this installment of FAb Under $50 I found a great knit skirt for the winter, leopard pumps, feminine bow gloves, tortoise print shades, and much more.

Grey Marl Quote Mesh Back Sweat Top By Tee And Cake, 30 GBP

Betsey Johnson Betsey’s Dollhouse Pearl Drop Bow Heart Earrings at…, $36

I love the sweat shirt, “I Like To Be Surrounded By Splendid Things” throw it on with some skinny jeans and a nice pump for a night on the town with the girls or throw on a pair of riding boots for a casual stroll through the city, either way, the sweat shirt will speak volumes.

Until next time….

Black Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year and it is quickly approaching.  Some of the deals are available online but the real steals are only available in-store, hence the name “door buster deals.” So here is a guide to help you shop efficiently and effectively on Black Friday.

  1. Research! Check your favorite stores to find out what time the doors open and what deals they have. Get together all the sale papers so that you know what is on sale and where to find it. You do not want to waste any time browsing for items only to discover that they’re not on sale. If you’re shopping in one store, construct an informal map that leads you from floor to floor or department to department. Your organization will give you an advantage over other shoppers.
  2. Set a budget and stick to it!
  3. Make a list. Know what you want to shop for and go get it.
  4. Arrive early. You will still have to face a line on Black Friday but it won’t be nearly as long as it would be a couple of hours into the sale. If you arrive later, you also risk having the items you want to buy being sold out.
  5. Continually consult your list of items so that if you see a long line for one product, you can go to another department that might be less crowded and buy something else.
  6. Monitor your cart closely. Desperate people may snag sold-out items from your cart.
  7. Wear comfortable clothing. Heels are not needed for the occassion.
  8. Shop with a group of people. If you shop in groups you all can split up and grab items for each other.
  9. Shop online. At least there’s no pushing, shoving or fighting and you can dress however you please.
  10. Relax, don’t get overwhelemed if you do not get your purchases.
