So today wasn’t a total drab weather wise. It is still quite chilly, which is normal around this time in the North East for Spring, but that didn’t stop me from stepping out to get a few outfit shots in. This look is perfect to transition in to spring. I can pair it with a leather jacket or a trench coat for the chilly weather.

What I Wore

Printed Jaclyn Smith top from K-Mart (I purchased almost two years ago.) I love this top because the print is so fun. It looks great with skinny jeans or leggings. It can be worn with our without the belt and even opened with a tank top underneath.

Pants from H&M (purchased almost two years ago) I love the color of these pants. I struggle with the fit around the waist which is why I always wear these pants with a tunic.

Analyn Boots from Just Fab  I love the mixed texture of these boots. You have the snakeskin texture in the front and on the platform and suede in the back. I always get tons of compliments when I wear these boots.

Belt from Forever 21 (It came with a shirt I purchased years ago)

Yesterday I decided to try my luck and head to Target to see if I would be able to snag a few pieces from the highly anticipated Prabal Gurung collection. I loved the bright and vibrant colors from the collection as well as the prints. I decided to get to Target at 8am when it first opened. To my surprise, there was a small line outside (about 10 women). I waited in my car until they opened since the line was so short. As the gate began to rise the women literally ran underneath to run to the collection. I just shook my head in disbelief because there was only 10 people online. The Target that I went to (the location won’t be revealed lol) was practically empty. Some women were grabbing everything and just throwing it in their carts. I refused to act like an animal over clothes, especially since there was enough for everyone. Long story short I tried on about 15 items and left with four.

I had my eye on all of the dresses but these two looked the best, especially the white! You can never go wrong with peplum and pointy toe heels are making a huge comeback. The print on the shoe makes it so versatile and I will be able to wear them with practically anything. I can’t for the spring.

Did you shop the collection? What did you get?

Another weekend has passed us by and some of our favorite celebrities were out and about looking AMAZING! This weekend it was all about white, prints, and bold colors.

  • Solange is starting off the year right with this bold outfit. This is not something for those who are timid. This statement suit is paired with black and white sandals and a printed clutch has a very ethnic feel. Her fro and dark berry lip brings this entire look together.
  • Jada Pinkett Smith makes a double appearance. The monochromatic pink look shows she is getting ready for spring early. The white jacket is the perfect match for this power look. The shades add a bit of mystery, but you can tell she means business.
  • Angela Simmons followed suit literally in this all white number. The cobalt criss-cross shoes add just the right amount of color.
  • For Jada Pinkett Smith’s second look she paired a body hugging mustard color Victoria Beckham dress with a pair of python sling back pumps. The print is perfect for this dress. You could also go with cobalt here as well for some color blocking.

Who rocked it for you?

It seems like it was all about the prints this weekend. We have Solange Knowles, Tichina Arnold, Leona Lewis, Tocarra, and Tika Sumpter all in prints. We have printed dresses, pants, and jackets.

Who rocked your favorite look? Obviously my vote goes to Solange.
