TGIF! Although the weather today is pretty this weekend it will be amazing. This will be our first taste of spring with the temperatures in the high 50s. I’m so excited! This winter has been rough and I need my warm weather.

Since today is Friday I decided to do an outfit post for casual Fridays. I don’t work in a restrictive environment so I can pretty much wear what I want, as long as it is appropriate of course 🙂 If you work in Corporate America you have more rules that you must follow. This is an outfit for those that can have a little fun at work. Printed pants can be kept casual or dressed up if you want to go out after work. Peplum is still popular and flatters any shape. Pair the look with black pumps and a great handbag in a bold color and you are ready for the weekend!

We are in full holiday party mode and I have a treat for you. I have created some amazing looks that will have you as the center of attention. When going to holiday parties, you want to be fashionable, but not to overdone or over the top, especially if you are attending a function for work. You do not want to be the person talk about because you look a little to scandalous.

When dressing for a holiday party you want to pull out all of the stops, so that means sequin, lace, leather, and metallics. If you want to be festive go for colors in red, gold, and even silver. Whether you wear a skirt and nice blouse, an embellished dress, or even leather or metallic pants, we have something for you.

Check out the looks below

Look #1 Whether you want to wear an a-line dress or leather pants, black and gold is a great color combination for the holiday season. Try a sequin peplum top with leather pants or a brocade/lace dress with cap toe pumps and a clutch in a bold color to get the party started!

Holiday Party Look #3

Look #2– This look is classy with a little bit of sex appeal. An oxblood sequin pencil skirt and corset top with a pair of stilettos will have you at the center of attention. The skirt should be the statement piece for this look so keep the accessories to a minimum

Look #3- metallics are great for holiday parties. Pair metallic straight leg or skinny pants with an embellished shirt and embellished heels. Pair with gold accessories and a clutch and you are ready to hit the dance floor.

The first look consists of a cocktail dress, pumps, and bold jewelry. You can never go wrong wearing a cocktail dress. Most likely you have one in your house that you have never worn or you haven’t worn in years (or maybe I’m just the guilty one). Cocktail dresses are simple and easy to accessorize. You do not have to choose red, you can choose any color that you would like, as long as it compliments your skin tone.

Date Night Look

The second look is a little more sophisticated. Cocktail dresses are usually very sexy. So if you are more conservative, you can wear a pencil skirt and a nice blouse with a pair of  ankle boots. I like the raspberry and teal color combination so I decided to mix those colors.

Dinner and Dancing

The last look is a bit spicy. It features an intricately detailed black jumpsuit with spiked heels, rosette clutch and bold cocktail ring. The design of the jumpsuit is edgy yet sexy. The straight leg allows you to wear almost any type of shoe but I would go with a pump. Because the jumpsuit is all black, I decided to add blue spiked heels for some contrast.

Jumpsuits and Blue

This is just part 1. Stay tuned for part 2 coming later this week!
