Spring and floral print go together like cereal and milk, peanut butter and jelly, do you get my drift? Floral print dresses can be worn to work, church, dancing, dinner, girls night out, etc., it just all depends on the style of the dress. The dresses I’m showcasing today only have one similarity, and that is they both incorporate flowers. One dress is more for a night out, while the other is more formal and would look amazing if paired with a blazer.

One of the biggest trends for the spring is the pastel blazer. Pastels can be really difficult to wear for some people. I’ve created four looks to help you mix and match and with one of the seasons hottest pieces.

Look #1 Pastel Blazer with Pastel Denim- it creates a fun look for the spring. You can even pair it with a pastel skater skirt or bodycon.

Pastel Color Block

Look #2 Pastel Blazer with Floral Prints- this is a very flirty and feminine combo. Choose a dress in which the blazer would be the perfect complimentary color.

Look #3 Pastel Blazer with Neutrals- I paired a light pink blazer with a cream dress and paired it with floral print sandals. The softness of the colors creates a romantic feel.

Look #4 Pastel Blazer with Boyfriend Jeans- for this look I went super casual. The darker shade of blue lets the blazer be the focal point as well as the multi-colored ballet flats

Pastel and Denim

Look #5 Pastel Blazer with Denim Shorts- This look is so versatile. It can be dressed up with a heel or wedge or dressed down with a flat sandal. Keep the accessories bright to help bring out the color.

When I think of spring I think of all the amazing flirty and feminine dresses that I can wear. I love showing off my legs and as soon as the weather is consistently warm, I will be back in my dresses and skirts. Until then I will just dream about adding these pieces to my wardrobe. I also have a floral print shift dress for sale so check that out as well (www.shophergoodybag.com)

Crop Tops and High-Waist Skirts

With Spring here and summer right around the corner, we need just need to add a few pieces to help maximize our wardrobe and if you are lacking crop tops or high-waist skirts, you may want to check out the options below.

Many people shy away from crop tops because of their figure. I once did as well because i don’t feel like I had a “crop top friendly” belly, but with a pair of high-waist shorts or pants, or a high-waist skirts they are now appropriate for those without flat stomachs (yayyyy).

I’m back with another “What I Wore” and I’m happy to say that spring has finally sprung! Well temporarily at least, we are back in to the 50s later this week *boooo* but the weather has been pretty nice lately.

For this look I went for something modern for the work place. I paired a light weight spring sweater with a blue and yellow brocade print pencil skirt and nude pumps. It is modern with the prints, but work appropriate because of the classic nude pumps as well as the loose fitting top.

When it comes to pairing items with a pencil skirt, you do not to go with something extremely fitted because the pencil skirt is fitted. If you are going to wear a fitted top, I would pair it with a sweater or blazer to add dimension to your look. That’s only if you work in a conservative setting. If not, by all means where what makes you the most comfortable. So to offset the skirt slim fitting skirt I paired it with a light weight sweater with a “blousy” feel.
