“Arguing with a fool proves there are two” – Doris M. Smith

Sometimes it is hard for us to put our pride aside and just walk away from arguments or altercations. In order for us to progress we have to be the bigger person and walk away from situations. There is probably that one person at your job who thinks they know everything, or maybe it is a close friend, spouse, or family member. Regardless of who it is, we shouldn’t waste our time arguing with a person who is stubborn and closed minded and refuse to see or understand other point of views. It is easier said than done of course, but it is not impossible. Don’t the be the other ‘fool’ in the argument. Just let some things go.

“One must need to be strong, otherwise one will never become strong” – Friedrich Nietzsche

“Choose rather to be strong of soul than strong of body.” – Pythagoras

“That’s one thing in here, you have to be strong mentally. If you’re not strong mentally, you’re done.” – Luis Sojo

I really couldn’t pick just one quote this week. The strength that I am referring to is keeping your word. Often times we say many things that sound good to us, but after a few days or weeks we lose focus and go back on our word. This is not the time to waver. Realize the decision you made to better yourself is far more rewarding than whatever temptation is placed before you. Although there will be moments of weakness, we must remain strong and keep our word in order to better ourselves.
