  • Solange rocked a hot metallic outfit last week. Metallics are one of the top 5 trends. Whether you find metallic pants, blazers, tops, or jeans, your look will definitely be updated.
  • Monica is rocking one of my favorite trends this season and that is neon. Her neon pink pants are definitely statement pieces. Pair with another neon like yellow or orange for a bright color blocked look.
  • FLOTUS Michelle Obama never fails. NEVER! Her tangerine dress compliments her skin tone perfectly and let’s not forget her colorblocking skills with the turquoise heels!

So take note from these ladies on how to rock some of spring’s hottest trends.

Style Files: Weekend Recap

With the chilly temperatures celebs definitely bring out the fur just like Monica and Kelly Rowland.

Monica gave us an “All Black Everything” look with a black fur vest, black skinny jeans, black long sleeve top, and black OTK boots.

Kelly mixed up her look with a caramel and white fur vest, blue skinny jeans and black laceup boots.

We haven’t seen Eve on the scene in a while but she came back looking amazing. I love the nude booties with the all black look. This look will definitely have people doing double takes.

Solange must not have been in New York this weekend because she is definitely dressed for summer (so jealous. She paired her gold sandals with a printed black, white, and orange skirt and a white blouse. She added the right pop of color with a flirty pink lip.

Look for less: Prada Leopard Pumps

Besides the sky high heel and platform, what is most appealing is the bold leopard print. Leopard print shoes can make or break an outfit if it is not the right pair. Sometimes the leopard print looks very cheap or it is not bold enough and the impact on the outfit is minimal. What is the point of wearing such a bold print if it you are not going to make a statement?

BET Awards Recap: Performers and Presenters

Last night we had some great performances! Besides the MJ Tribute, my favorite would have to be either Diddy-Dirty Money and DJ Khaled (Hey I’m from the hood #don’tjudgeme) Here is a recap of the performers and presenters.

Nicki Minaj and Drak held it down for Young Money…I hated all of Nicki’s wigs! Gimmicks do not bring longevity. I did appreciate her speech (although it was LONG) she is obviously being the bigger person in this “Beef”

Where are you Yeezy? Well he was on top of a mountain. I understood the concept of his performance, not sure if it was executed as well as he would have thought. It was good to see him back on stage after his hiatus and I ABSOLUTELY love this song! It is #2 on my playlist (B.o.B  “Airplanes” is #1)

Monica’s bat/gargoyle wings #FAIL, Alicia looked lovely, Keyshia’s 22″ mullett #FAIL, Ciara was on point.

T.I. and Travis Barker killed it! Diddy-Dirty Money (and the crew) killed it too, I’m glad Eminem is back! I wish I was going to the “Renegade Concert” with Em and Hov 🙁
