Men’s Style: Fall 2011 Fashion Trends

Hey guys! I didn’t forget about you. So you want to know what’s trending this fall? Well here it goes

When it comes to fall’s hottest colors it is the same for males and females. Think mustards, burnt orange, rust, forest green etc. My favorite would have to be rust and burgundy



Another trend for males would be the stylish suit. I wouldn’t consider this a trend but the fashion gods do. Trends are temporary and I don’t think suits will ever go out of style. Other suit trends include loose tailoring which I am not a fan of. I like structure. It makes or breaks the look.

Cardigans, v-necks, and classic pull overs are all great for the fall season, but when it gets colder go for chunky knit sweaters and in bold patterns. Think Bill Cosby.

Men’s Style: The Boat Shoe

Ok I believe this is my first set that I have created for a guy. My forte is dressing women, but I am giving the guys a little attention. I have been getting requests from a lot of my male friends to do more for them on the blog. I played it safe with this look but let me find my groove fellas. 🙂

So the inspiration behind this look was really the Sebago Spinnaker Boat Shoe which retails for $80. Boat shoes are essential for men for the summer. What are you going to wear on your feet if you get invited to a yacht party…some Jordan’s?…I don’t think so. There is always a time and a place for the Cool Grey’s or Tru Blues, but I think a boat shoe on a yacht is more fitting.

Boat shoes can be dressed up or dressed down. The look above is very casual.  You have a plain v-neck t-shirt, casual trousers, a nice watch, belt, and rosary beads. The boat shoes and aviators pull it all together for a great casual yet stylish look.

Men’s Style: Leather Bags for Men

Shareema, I was able to find quite a few REAL leather bags for men in that price range. When it comest to finding quality products at cheaper prices I always tell people to go to department stores or discount chain retailers like Target, or even online retailers like Zappos. Men’s Style: Vincent Chase in Henley Shirts

So I have this friend who is a die hard Entourage fan. Not too long ago he asked me about these shirts that the main character, Vince (Adrian Grenier), wears quite often on the show.

The shirt is called a Henley and it is simply a collarless pullover shirt with about 2-5 buttons (depends on the shirt). It is a real casual shirt, think of a collarless polo, and they are great for guys who want to have the effortlessly cool look. It is originally a menswear shirt, but yes ladies, we have taken over and now rock henleys ourselves. Here is a closer look at the shirt.

They are really simple. I personally love seeing guys in henley’s and nice pair of jeans and some fly sneakers. It shows that they care about their appearance, but they are not consumed by fashion. Some guys are just ridiculous and they take longer to get ready than a woman, and look “regular.” These types of shirts are very casual so please fellas, do not go to a job interview with one on. Keep these shirts for a night of wings, beer, and football games.
