“Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthe 17:20

Motivation Monday: Dealing with People

“Arguing with a fool proves there are two” – Doris M. Smith
Sometimes it is hard for us to put our pride aside and just walk away from arguments or altercations. In order for us to progress we have to be the bigger person and walk away from situations. There is probably that one person at your job who thinks they know everything, or maybe it is a close friend, spouse, or family member. Regardless of who it is, we shouldn’t waste our time arguing with a person who is stubborn and closed minded and refuse to see or understand other point of views. It is easier said than done of course, but it is not impossible. Don’t the be the other ‘fool’ in the argument. Just let some things go.
Motivation Monday: Success
“Success is not limited by your environment. It is based on your creativity and persistence.” -A.R. Bernard
Success is something that we all want, but most of us are not willing to put in the work. We face obstacles like doubt, lack of confidence, negativity from others, and also unrealistic expectations set by ourselves and others. In order for you to truly pursue your goals you must believe in yourself and the abilities given to you by God. Don’t measure your success or try to attain success by following expectations set by society, family, friends, media etc. Only you can determine how far you go. Be persistent, confident, and most importantly have faith that you will do what God has called you to do and do it well.
From Lloyd Boston:
“Claim this year as your most stylish ever. Make a pact with yourself to explore new ideas, break bad habits, and be open to change. To have style is to give shape to the way you carry yourself. Set a tone for the new year. Think of adding or practicing good habits, as opposed to denying yourself. If you’re in the habit of wearing black, commit to adding some color. If you’re accustomed to loose garments, try more tailored or form-fitting ones. Start one item at a time.”
“Don’t claim New Year’s resolutions, embrace a positive evolution.”
Affirmation: Before I put anything on, I will take two minutes each day to focus on ways to be a more stylish me.”

With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.” -Mark Victor Hansen

“With confidence, you can reach truly amazing heights, without confidence, even the simplest accomplishments are beyond your grasp.” -Anonymous

“Many of the great achievements of the world were accomplished by tired and discouraged men who kept on working.”

Motivation Monday: Dsicernment

“Discernment is the ability to grasp, comprehend, and evaluate clearly. It means we can see the true nature of things; it allows us to distinguish between what is real and what is imitation.
Discernment may begin with intuitive hunches and perceptiveness. With intuition as a starting point, the quality of discernment is built over time on honest observation, careful reasoning, and balanced application of our knowledge and principles. In a person who is highly discerning, intuition, emotion, and reason inform each other. As we grow in experience, our ability to discern usually grows stronger, providing us with insight that propels us toward greater wisdom.” Source
