Twitter and Facebook were on fire all night during the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. The music industry’s most talented and celebrated artist joined together to recognize those who had an amazing year. Let’s get in to our favorite and least favorite looks of the night.

KELLY ROWLAND looked AMAZING! I don’t even have the words to describe how amazing she looks. I ordered a Jeanette Jenkins workout DVD because her body is on point. That dress was made for her. It is sexy! She looks hot!
Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Alicia Keys
Queen Bey went against the grain in this black and white pant suit. J. Lo took the memo and threw it out of the window. Check out that leg! Alicia Keys also wore a black gown, nothing to exciting, but she looks good.
Solange and Katy Perry green with envy!
I don’t have to say much besides green has never looked so good! Solange looks regal in emerald and the mint green compliments Katy Perry’s skin tone perfectly.
Rihanna and Adele
I wasn’t wow’d by either of these two. I think Rihanna’s hair took away from the dress. I love that Adele wasn’t in black, but this print was not the most flattering. The shape is amazing on her though.
Taylor Swift and Rocsi
Taylor Swift wore a J. Mendel gown. She is always red carpet ready. Rocsi looked great in this white jumpsuit. it is simple but also the shape is very flattering.
Ashanti, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose
Ashanti was all about the leg, but she stayed within the guidelines of the memo. Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are just ready for their son to arrive. She is definitely glowing.
Nas, Ne-yo, Nelly
These guys went for metallic looks. Nas is sharp!
Miguel, Drake, Frank Ocean, Trey Songz
These guys didn’t disappoint either. Trey and Drake look so polished. Frank and Miguel are well, Frank and Miguel.

Black is always a staple on any Red Carpet. NeNe and Adele look a little to frumpy for the occasion. Eva Longoria is always ready to show of her sex appeal and she does with this black gown.
These ladies have a case of the blues. I love Rosario’s dress, but wish the neckline wasn’t so high. Nicole Richie looks elegance in her blue lace dress, and Lucy Liu went bold with this floral ball gown

It always great to see a pop of color on the red carpet and both Jessica Alba and Gabby Douglas went bold in peach and neon.

My winners of the night! I love the neutral tones on all gowns. I think Halle Berry’s print is striking! The hint of purple was an amazing touch. I’m loving the sheer nude looks from Jennifer Lopez and my all time favorite Kerry Washington. These ladies look amazing.

Last night was the 2012 American Music Awards. While I didn’t get a chance to catch the full show, I was definitely tuned in for the Red Carpet. With the exception of the Grammy’s, for most music award shows celebs are less formal and traditional. Because music of the creativity that one is allowed to express through music, here is the chance to do the same thing with your style. Take a look at a few of the looks from last night.

Next week the pools and beaches will officially be open to the public, so you know what that means? You need the perfect swimsuit. I am partial to wearing two-pieces ,but lately I have been seeing some amazing monokinis. When it comes to picking the right swimsuit you need to know your body type. If you are top heavy you need more coverage up top so instead of going for the triangle bikini top go for something that provides a little more coverage, unless you don’t mind having the girls hang out.For those with the athletic body shape, try a bottom with ruffles or a plain bikini to create the illusion of curves. Avoid boy shorts at all times! If you have a little extra in the middle look for a high waisted bottom and also a swimsuit that controls the tummy.
I love buying separates because I have the option of mixing and matching. So pair a striped top with a leopard print bottom, or a paisley top with a polka dot bottom. When it comes to mixing prints stay with in the same color family or find colors that compliment each other like blue/orange, purple/pink, blue/yellow, green/pink, etc. If you are not ready to mix prints well pair a printed top with a solid bottom or vicaversa. Remember swimsuits do not have to be traditional or match so have fun with your look.
When it comes to rocking a coverup, leave the extra large white t-shirt at home! There are so many options from sarongs, to crochet tops, to sheer or printed caftans, and even a light weight tunic can work.
