Product Review: AMBI Even & Clear Facial Kit

One thing that we all should strive to achieve is healthy skin. For the past few months I have been struggling with this. I’ve tried numerous cleansers, toners, exfoliating scrubs, and a host of other products. Because I have combination skin (normal to oily) I can’t use only one product. I have also been struggling with annoying breakouts and an uneven skin tone.

When I was asked to try AMBI’s Even & Clear Facial Care Kit I was excited. I used to use the fade cream and was pleased with the results but I never tried the foaming cleanser or the moisturizer so I jumped on the opportunity to see if these products could combat my new found skin problems.

My Thoughts

I wanted to love this product, but I just simply couldn’t. I do like that my skin was left soft and it did help minimize my dark spots and even my skin tone. It seems like I have a tri-colored complexion. My forehead, cheeks, and chin are all different shades of brown. It isn’t terribly noticeable, but I notice it and I hate it. So the cleanser has really started to even out my complexion. In regards to the breakouts, I still suffered from a few around my cheek area. I did not have any breakouts around my forehead and chin, which are a few of my problem areas. I also didn’t get the clean/fresh feeling after using the foaming cleanser. My skin felt clean, but not fresh if that makes sense.

My Thoughts

I am no stranger to the fade cream. It is simply amazing. I had dark spots on my feet and used it a while back and everything was great. Now I use it for the dark spots on my forehead. I have noticed a change within the short time that I have been using the product. It isn’t drastic, but it does take some time to get an even complexion. The only con about this product is the smell. It is not pleasant at all, but it isn’t so bad that I can’t use it.

My thoughts

I LOVE this moisturizer. Other moisturizers that I have used have either been to watery and left my face feeling dry or too oily and greasy leaving my face shiny and sticky. This moisturizer is light weight and does not add any extra shine. My face feels moisturized and soft throughout the day, even after I have taken off my makeup. It also helps with the evening of my skin tone. My t-zone is always extremely oily but I have great oil control with this moisturizer.

Overall I was pleased with AMBI Facial Care Kit. The fade cream and moisturizer override how I feel about the foaming cleanser. That may be the only product I wouldn’t purchase again, but I will continue to use the product to see if my mind changes. I will however continue to use the fade cream and moisturizer because I was pleased with the results from both.

In Other News: My First Car Story

So last week I created a video about My First Car!   I’m a city girl to the core so I was well in my 20s when I got my license and purchased my first car. My “First Car” is actually my only car since I purchased it almost four years ago. Creating this video was so much fun because I got to see how far I have come with “Kitty.” Yes I named my car kitty, mainly because I bought some Hello Kitty floor mats and I thought the name was fitting.

So my car and I have been through a lot. I have a few bumps and scratches but if you ask me, she’s in pretty good shape. Check out my first car video below and create your own HERE

What I Wore: Splurge vs. Steal with searsStyle!

So I had an opportunity to be a trendsetter for searsStyle! For this opportunity I was able to shop various collections like Bongo, Apostrophe, UK Style by French Connection, and the Kardashian Kollection. So I went to my local mall and hit up sears and they were having an awesome sale so I managed to get some great pieces!

Before I went shopping I had to of course survey my closet (didn’t want to buy what I didn’t need) and also think about some of my favorite celebs rocking the hottest trends. So my first thought was either animal print or faux fur. And guess what?? I was able to get the best of both worlds.

Beyonce, Rachel Zoe, Rihanna, Kim Kardashian and a host of other celebs have all been splurging when it comes to fur. Even some faux fur vests can cost about $300 so I was happy to find this amazing  faux fur vest from UK Style by French Connection.

Both the vest and skinny jeans are from UK Style by French Connection. The vest was originally $72 but it was on sale for for $36! Tell me that isn’t amazing! I love the wash of the jeans and the zipper detail on the ankle. These are my ideal skinny jeans! The jeans were originally $48 but I got them for $19.

I already own a brown fur vest, so I was looking for something in grey or black. It is so chic. I got tons of compliments when I wore this look.Here are closeups of the items

I love how the pink pops against the black and dark wash denim. This look is perfect for hanging out on the  town with the girls.

I also purchased a printed dress from Apostrophe and a sequins vest from Attention.

The dress looks very conservative but it is definitely BODY HUGGING. I mean I was like wait, when did I get those curves lol. The vest is perfect to glam up any outfit. I would wear it with a simple top and some skinny pants with killer heels.

So when it comes to searsSTYLE they definitely have the hottest items at even hotter prices.

With just one coat I noticed the dramatic difference in my lashes. The length was incredible and they also appeared fuller. Two coats will provide you with a very dramatic look so I would use one coat for the day and two coats for nice. I wouldn’t use more than three coats. I also loved the packaging. The wand is slightly bent which allows you to get fuller coverage.

One thing that is great is that the formula can be used for those with sensitive eyes or if you wear contacts, which I do on a daily basis. Sometimes a lash may get in our eye and so this formula will not cause any irritation.
