I see these fashion challenges all over the internet and thought it would be cool to try one. I’ve seen challenges where bloggers choose 30 items including shoes, bags and accessories and only wear those 30 items for the entire month. I am putting a little twist on this challenge. I chose 8 items including not including accessories and decided to style 12 looks. So for the next week you will see different ways to style the following pieces

8 Wardrobe Essentials

So for the first look I paired a black sheath dress, with a blue and white striped t-shirt, and a pair of red flats. This look is for a casual day at work. Sometimes our feet need a break from the heels so flats are a necessity. I chose red to add a pop of color to the look. I also included other accessories like a black handbag, which all women should own, reader glasses (prescription or fashion) and a pair of pearl earrings. Most people I know love Starbucks, I’m more of a Dunkin Donuts type girl, but you get the picture.

Happy First Day of Spring. I’ve been waiting for this day since the first day of Fall lol. Yes terrible I know, but who can resist the weather of this beautiful season? So with Spring in full bloom we need to make sure we have  our essentials. I don’t know about you, but during the Spring and Summer months I do a lot more walking. When people think of comfort they automatically associate it with ugly. This does not have to be the case. Last week Beyonce showed us her style in cute loafers while walking around the city with Blue Ivy. Many people would opt for a heel over a flat, but truth be told I wear flats almost everyday. When I’m driving or doing a lot of running around at work I have on flat shoes and then I change into my heels. It is not healthy wearing heels all day long and I do not want to do any damage to my knees or back. There are days when I keep my flats on all the time.

Ok I have to admit I am bias. I love a heel! I am 5’4″ and to me that’s short considering I have pretty tall parents. Anyway I am always posting about heels  because that’s mainly all that I wear, unless I’m in my old faithfuls (riding boots). Reader Elaine requested that I do a post on flats because she is quite tall and wants stylish options for flats. I think it is time I give my feet a rest anyway.

So here is what I found…
