This has been a very eventful Awards Season thus far. I was secretly wishing that Lupita Nyong’o would show up and SLAY like she usually does, but this is music…maybe she’ll release an album next year…who knows lol.

Here is a recap of some of the best and wellllll other looks from a few of our favorite celebrities.

Beyonce and Jay-z

Beyonce and Jay-z

Although they did not get to walk the red carpet because they were opening the show, The Carters looked might dapper this evening. Beyonce rocked a sheer lace white dress that was sexy, but not too revealing. Jay was on his suit and (bow)tie steeze this evening.

Ciara

Ciara

Check out the glow on this hot momma! Ciara looked radiant in her gold and bronze dress.

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry

Taylor Swift and Katy Perry

Taylor Swift never disappoints (except when she goes EXTRA hard dancing in the audience -__-). Her look was simple and youthful. Katy Perry rocked  a whit sheer music note inspired gown in true Katy Perry Fashion.

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose, and John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen

Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose, and John Legend and wife Chrissy Teigen

On to the couples!. I love Chrissy’s dress. Amber Rose usually slays, but maybe a more vibrant color would have nailed this look. Both gentleman look great. Wiz knows how to rock the red carpet, as does John Legend.

Robin Thicke and Paula Patton and Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert

I feel like Miranda and Robin Thicke should be dates, Blake should have walked the red carpet alone, and while I want to love Paula Patton’s dress, I just don’t 🙁

Rita Ora and Rocsi Diaz

Rita Ora and Rocsi Diaz

These two played it safe. Rita usually goes all out (the MTV awards she KILLED!) Rocsi usually has a little bit more flare. While I don’t hate these looks, I don’t love them either.

Tamar Braxton, Alicia Keys, Pink

Tamar Braxton, Alicia Keys, Pink

This is probably the best that I have seen Tamar look in a long time. Usually she goes over the top with the makeup and/or outfit. She kept it classy and simple with this red gown and natural makeup. Alicia Keys never really does it for me, but this color is gorgeous. The over exposed chest area is giving me a little body builder. Women with smaller busts should not over expose the chest area. Pink has an amazing voice and gave an amazing performance, but the pattern on the dress was not needed. If it was a simple satin gown I think she would have nailed this look.

Ariana Grande and Ashanti

Ariana Grande and Ashanti

Could you believe that Ariana Grande is only 20 years old!?!?!?!? Who put her in this dress. The dress ages her and hairstyle takes off a few years so I’m just confused. I understand why she wears her hair in the same style (due to extreme damage she has limited options and just wants her hair to get healthy again), but either the hair or the dress needs to be spruced up. I didn’t even recognize Ashanti. Love the shoes, makeup and hair (yessss for the blonde) but the dress has A LOT going on and it does nothing for her shape. I really want to love her style, but I need some consistency. One day she slays and others…..

Miguel, Kendrick Lamar, Pharrell Williams , and Mack Wilds

And for the guys…..they all have a very unique style. I’m loving Miguel’s look the most. After seeing that picture of Kendrick Lamar and Max from Living Single on Instagram I can’t look at him the same anymore lol.

Who do you think deserves best dressed at the 56th Grammy Awards?

It’s no surprise that the black and white color combination is still “trending.” This weekend celebs like Ciara, Trey Songz, and Bridget Kelly showed why this look will forever be a classic.

Bridget Kelly’s look is simple and chis. Her black top, statement necklace and white pencil skirt is complimented by mint green strappy sandals. This is the perfect way to add color to your look without feeling overwhelmed.

Ciara’s fresh face and blonde tresses compliment this classic black and white dress. It covers enough to keep the look classy, yet it shows off her best assets, those killer legs!

Trey Songz kept it cool in a black and white graphic print t-shirt and black jeans. Sometimes guys “do the most” but Trey is definitely in style and that awesome smile is just the icing on the cake.

So it’s that time again! What time you ask? It’s time for me to switch up my “do.” I’ve been rocking a full head weave for the last seven weeks and I must quickly decide what I want to do next. I want something spicy and and fun, but also easy to manage and maintain. I’m thinking of a quick color change. I won’t dye my real hair, I can’t commit to something like that for a long period of time, but I do like the idea of going blonde (well partially) for the summer.

So what do you guys think, do blondes really have more fun?

When I think of white shoes, I think of the Mary Janes my mother used to make me wear when going to church on Easter or just on a nice spring day. I think of the little girls with the frilly lace socks and bows in their hair. Whenever I would see a grown woman with white shoes I would stare in amazement. I don’t know why but they just look awkward to me. I t may be the tile of shoe that I particularly see, but this was just something I could never get on board with.

Well for the spring season it appears that these are the new must haves. Now just because tons of celebs rock white shoes it doesn’t mean that you have to run out and buy a pair. Just because it is of the moment doesn’t mean that it is for you. Here are a few pics of some celebs rocking this trend.

I think I am too traumatized to even go near a white shoe but some celebs have been changing the minds of many, check them out.

Ciara is gearing up for the release of her new album “One Woman Army.” In between rehearsals, trips to Paris, recording and boo loving with Future, she is also turning heads with her new cover for Annex Magazine. Her new single “Body Party” which happened to be written by Future is my new jam! It samples one of my all time favorite songs “My Boo” from Ghost Town DJs. Take a look at the double cover below.

Ciara would definitely kill the modeling game. Why do you think she was the muse for Givenchy? I love the contrast between both covers. One is definitely more “Avant Garde” and the other is more refreshing.

What do you think about Ciara’s covers for Annex Magazine?
