Last Thursday I attended a retirement party at Russo’s On the Bay located in Howard Beach. Despite me being under the weather, I put on my best face and headed down the conduit to Russo’s. I must say that I absolutely love Maybelline’s New “Fit Me” Foundation. It gives excellent coverage and is very light weight. Because I was sick, I was very pale and I looked like all of the color was flushed out of me. You would never know that with this foundation. Anyway here is what I wore

So this weekend went by super fast! It feels like I just left work, but overall it was a good weekend, you can never go wrong with shopping and food. Here are some of the looks I wore this weekend.

I went to a meeting at church Friday night. It was a very nice day Friday, but I didn’t want to change my outfits drastically because clearly, it is only in the 40s today and I refuse to get sick. Anyway this is what I wore

There’s more. Check out my outfit inspired by Lala Vazquez

Yes I know I haven’t blogged in forever, that is because I was out of town. I went to spend the weekend in Philly with my best friend and I just came back today. I had such a great time, but I had to return to Brooklyn and get back to business.

I arrived in Philly on  Saturday after a ridiculously long drive because of ridiculous traffic. Anyway Erica (bff) had the entire weekend planned. Saturday we did a little shopping then went to a party for a friend who is leaving for medical school. Sunday we went to church then more shopping. Then we hit the spa which was amazing and relaxing. After the spa we went to a friend’s house and he cooked us dinner and we watched the All-Star game.  Monday we went to brunch, the movies, and then to get some cheese steaks. The night ended with a great conversation about everything with one of her neighbors who had me crying! I had a great weekend but here is just one look from the weekend (I really didn’t feel like taking pictures…surprising right?)

  • Sheer top- Charlotte Russe (I love the colors!)
  • Mini skirt- Forever 21
  • Tights- Target (I might have been the only one or maybe one other chick with tights on. Other girls went bare legged and some didn’t even wear a coat!! I said it is 20 degrees outside, I would rather be warm lol
  • Booties- BCBG

Martin jumped in my pic smh!

Erica wore

  • Zebra print top
  • Black skinny pants
  • Red patent leather peep toe pumps

A few weeks ago I did a post on the Burberry Prorsum Shearling Boots. While the Burberry Boots are a pretty hefty penny ($1,320). I went on the search for a boot with a similar look.
