I hope everyone had a fabulous Christmas. I enjoyed my Christmas with my crazy family. On Saturday we went to my cousin’s house like we did for Thanksgiving. This time around we played Christmas trivia and we failed miserably. My cousin was asking questions like what is Tiny Tim’s father’s name and how many gifts were given at the end of the 12 days of Crhistmas. I was like I teach English not Math lol. If you got at least one question correct you were given a lottery scratch off as your prize. It was fun and the food was FANTASTIC.

What I wore:

  • Black Sequins top-Forever 21
  • Burgundy skinny jeans- Forever 21
  • Black Lace-up wedges- Spring Shoes
  • Accessories black and silver heart chain and black and silver spiral earrings (my secret spot in the city lol)

My look was festive, yet relaxed. Everyone was pretty casual.

Here are a few of the things that I received

  • BH Cosmetics 88 Matte Eyeshadow Palette
  • Gift cards (You can never go wrong with those)
  • Avon perfect face palette
  • Thermos that says “Teachers: Opening Minds and Inspiring Hearts”
  • Sweater Dress
  • Grey handbag
  • Flip HD camecorder
  • Wireless mouse in Pink to match my laptop
  • Cookie Jar in the shape of a purse.

Sidebar: This is not directed at anyone in particular so if you are reading this and you think I am talking about you, I’m really not. I had to log off of Twitter and Facebook and even turn off my phone because of ungrateful people. I was tired of people complaining about what they received when there are a lot of people who did not receive anything at all. If you do not like a gift or want a gift that is fine, but at least a person thought about you to get you something. People always say, “If you were gonna get me this, you should not have gotten anything” and next year when you don’t get something you’ll be mad. So remember the reason for the season. It is not about getting anything. It is about giving, not just possessions, but your time, talents, and love. Some people are not as thoughtful as you. You may put a lot of effort into picking gifts for family and friends and you have to understand that some people are not like you. There are people who do not know how to shop or simply do not have as much time as you do so they give giftcards so that you can get something that you like.  Yes there are people who do it out of laziness, but remember there is a family who did not have one gift under the tree.
