Rock It or Drop It: The White Shoes Trend
When I think of white shoes, I think of the Mary Janes my mother used to make me wear when going to church on Easter or just on a nice spring day. I think of the little girls with the frilly lace socks and bows in their hair. Whenever I would see a grown woman with white shoes I would stare in amazement. I don't know why but they just look awkward to me. I t may be the tile of shoe that I particularly see, but this was just something I could never get on board with. What to Wear: The Leopard Clutch Styled 5 Ways
So I have a style rule that I abide by at least 75% of the time ( I need to do better). That rule is if I can't get at least three different looks from an item I am considering purchasing then I can't buy it. Sometimes when I'm in the store in my mind I'm like ok I can pair this with these shoes, these pants, and this jacket, but in all reality it doesn't happen. In the April issue of Glamour Magazine the article "10 Things We Should All Know About Style" says that we wear less than 25% of things that we own. Motivation Monday: Protecting Your Peace with the Armor of God
Friday night I went to the Young Adult "Real Talk" Service with my pastor at church. I honestly look forward to these events because I learn so much in a more intimate setting. Many people look at me weird when I tell them I'm going to church on a Friday night instead of a party or bar. The event lasts for about 2hrs and we always try to get an extra 15minutes out of the pastor so we can stay. Yes there are some 20 something year olds and 30 year olds who would rather be in the house of the Lord than engaging in ratchet behavior. Anyway we touched on a number of different topics, such as critical thinking, the installation of the new pope, balance in life, time management and a lot more.
