What I Wore: Faux-Real-Leather and Fur I think so…

About 3 weeks ago I debuted my faux leather skater from Asos and I have been in love with that skirt since the day it arrived. Well today this love affair continues with a faux leather pencil skirt that I purchased from jc penney. I first wore this skirt on my birthday with a royal blue top and silver collar. Today I created an evening look with a faux leather pencil skirt, a black opaque and sheer top, a grey faux fur vest, a pair of black pumps, and patterned black stockings from Hanes. I kept my accessories to a minimum. I didn’t want to compete with the vest and the top so I went for a simple black and grey look.

The design on the stockings is very intricate. I felt real old school with these on. Adding a pair of patterned stockings or tights to your look is a great way to add a little flair to your outfit.

Another essential for a look like this is a bold lip. Once again I went with my favorite…MAC Ruby Woo

What I Wore: Blazin’ Simple and Chic

Hey my loves! I’m back with a new outfit post! I have to be more consistent with these things! I keep getting messages from people saying “When are you going to update the What I Wore section?” lol so here is a simple, but chic outfit I put together the other day.

I wore black leggings, DollHouse lace up boots, an oversized blazer from Beacon’s Closet, and a textured blue tunic from Bisou Bisou via jc penney. I wanted a look that was casual but polished. The best way to get a casual, yet polished look is adding a red lip and a blazer. A blazer can change the dynamic of any outfit, which is why it is a wardrobe essential. Take a closer look

So remember a fierce pair of boots, blazer, and red lip will take your look up to a new level.

What I Wore: Christmas Day OOTD

Hey my loves!

If you follow HerGoodyBag on any social networking site (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest) you would have seen the my ootd. I usually post snippets of my outfit, but I loved it so much that I had to give you the full look instantly. So here is my OOTD for Christmas Day. Check it out

I usually don’t get this dressed up on Christmas. I rarely wear jeans on holidays, but there was something special about today lol. My “maxi skirt” is actually a dress that I purchased from jc penney on Black Friday. I paired it with a v-neck black long-sleeve shirt from 6pm.com and my sequin vest by Apostrophe from Sears (now Metaphor). I finished the look with Michael Antonio zippered booties from 6pm.com and silver jewelry.

It was very windy lol

I love the cranberry color it gives off in the sunlight. In regular house lighting it looked more like oxblood, but outside my dress/skirt was more vibrant.

What I Wore: Thanksgiving Day

Happy Monday my loves. I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving with your loved ones. Now we are back to the every day grind until Christmas. It’s sad, once one holiday is over, I’m counting down to the next lol. Anyway, back to the task at hand, my Thanksgiving was awesome, I had some great laughs with my family.

For my look, I wanted something simple, but of course with a little twist.

What I Wore

Black Skater dress from H&M
Grey tights by Exhiliration from Target
Over-the-knee Socks from Forever 21
Plum Marcy boots from Michael Antonio via 6pm These boots are super comfortable and I love the thick heel. It makes it easy to both walk and stand.

I kept it very simple, but of course my OTK socks and boots added a little edge to show my personal style. This dress was definitely food friendly. I wasn’t concerned with the bulge because it was hidden! I love how long my legs looked as well. You would have never guessed that I was only 5’4″!

What I Wore: The Leather Lover

This past weekend was my alma mater’s homecoming celebration. I had such a great time catching up with my old classmates and friends. Last week I did a post on what to wear to homecoming (click here for the post) and I went with a combination of two of the looks I created. I went with looks 1 and 2 for my homecoming ensemble.

I chose the leather leggings, motorcycle jacket, and cross body bag from this look

I chose the wedge sneakers and sweater from look #2

Here is my recreation of both looks

I liked the edgy feel from the first look, but didn’t want to wear a graphic t-shirt because it was a little chilly, so I paired the look with a light weight sweater. I wanted to add a pop of color and also rep for my sorority so when I saw this hat in H&M I had to grab it. I got tons of compliments on my hat and look overall. So many people told me how much they loved the blog and I greatly appreciate each and every one of you who take the time to read. I went with the wedge sneakers from the second look because I wanted height, yet comfort.
