Yesterday I went to brunch with Melissa near Grand Army Plaza and decided to walk over to the Soldiers and Sailors Arch and Bailey Fountain since ti was so nice out to snap some pictures.

So there you have it! My “Animal Instincts” look

Happy Tuesday  my loves! It’s been a while since I have done a What I Wore post, so I know this is long over due. It was a pretty nice day on Sunday and I was in the mood to wear a dress to church. As I was looking through my closet I noticed a dress that my brother bought for me when he was in Spain last year. I never wore the dress because I didn’t get it until December…smh…and it was just too cold.

The dress is a simple and very comfortable. It is a peach tank dress with a mint green belt. I paired it with and Olivia & Joy Handbag and my favorite pumps of the moment (Prabal Gurung for Target). I put on a lace cardigan because it can get really chilly at church.

As you can see I also switched up the hair do for the summer. I’ve been doing a lot of protective styling lately and this is just the latest installment lol. I chose box braids because they are easy to maintain. I didn’t want to keep my weave because it is just too hot. I wanted my braids to be a shorter length, but the woman who did my hair said it wouldn’t work because of my natural hair length, so I had to go long.

So here’s one final look

Stay tuned for more of What I Wore.

Hey dolls! Exactly two weeks ago, I embarked on Nivea’s #DareToBare Firming Hydration Challenge. For two weeks, I only used the Nivea Skin Firming Hydration Body Lotion with Q10 that was provided to me through Nivea.

2013-05-27

NIVEA Skin Firming Body Lotion, formulated with Co-Enzyme Q10 Complex and Hydra-IQ, is proven to provide firmer more toned skin within two weeks.

  • firmer, more toned skin
  • more resilient skin
  • softer, smoother skin texture
  • 24 hour moisturization

My Thoughts

I absolutely adore this lotion. It came right in time for the summer. The weather has been a little whacky, but shorts and mini skirt season is definitely on its way. The harsh winter took a toll on my skin. I would use other Nivea products that I loved throughout the winter, but this lotion is perfect for the spring and summer because it is light weight. Now I won’t say stop going to the gym or doing your lunges and other leg exercises, but I will say my thighs and butt look and feel more firm, skin wise, not muscle wise. My is a lot smoother especially the normal dry areas like your knees, heels of your feet, and elbows. I applied the lotion in the morning and in the evening and my skin retained the moisture throughout the day.

Smooth legs :)

Would I recommend this product?

I would definitely recommend this product if you want a great light weight lotion that leaves your skin feeling soft, silky, and smooth. It is relatively inexpensive and that’s always a great thing.

You have a chance to win this product by tweeting or instagramming a photo of what you would rock with smoother, firmer skin using the hashtag #DareToBare. This is the last week to enter so hurry!

I’m back with another outfit post for you guys! The weather has been pretty nice. I haven’t worn my heavy winter coat in about two weeks and that’s major. So for spring I love incorporating as much color in my looks as possible. During the winter months I tend to wear a lot of black, grey, and other dark colors. So any chance I get to add a little color I’m all over it.

For this look I wore a pair of green skinny jeans, a cream silk blouse, and multicolored pumps. I wanted to bring the other colors out of the pump so I paired them with the green skinny jeans. These pumps are so versatile because of all of the colors and can be worn with just about anything.

  • Cream silk blouse- Tommy Hilfiger via Macy’s
  • Cognac belt with gold buckle- Thrifted
  • Printed Pumps- Prabal Gurung via Target
  • Necklace- Charming Charlies

I’m back with another “What I Wore” and I’m happy to say that spring has finally sprung! Well temporarily at least, we are back in to the 50s later this week *boooo* but the weather has been pretty nice lately.

For this look I went for something modern for the work place. I paired a light weight spring sweater with a blue and yellow brocade print pencil skirt and nude pumps. It is modern with the prints, but work appropriate because of the classic nude pumps as well as the loose fitting top.

When it comes to pairing items with a pencil skirt, you do not to go with something extremely fitted because the pencil skirt is fitted. If you are going to wear a fitted top, I would pair it with a sweater or blazer to add dimension to your look. That’s only if you work in a conservative setting. If not, by all means where what makes you the most comfortable. So to offset the skirt slim fitting skirt I paired it with a light weight sweater with a “blousy” feel.

Take a closer look!
