Yes our beloved Halle Berry has deviated from acting, endorsing makeup, and selling perfume to sell shoes! Halle Berry has teamed up with German retailer Deichmann Shoes to create her line 5th Avenue by Halle Berry. Now Halle Berry is very low-key when it comes to dressing when shes not hitting the Red Carpet or making some type of appearance. When she is not available for photo ops, you can bet she will be in jeans a t-shirt, maxi dress, and some flat sandals. So what do you think the 45 year-old actress’ line of shoes will look like…take a look below

Halle Berry states ” it was a dream come true” to have her own collection.

“Women have always loved shoes. It’s like if your hair is not right and your shoes are not right, the woman is not right. If both of them are right, you’re pretty much OK. And shoes are a statement. They can be very sexy; they can say something about where you are in the day; they can say what your mood is; they give you a chance to accessorize. And I’m a girl that loves to change my shoes all the time. It’s an expression of who you are really. I’m a girl if I find a shoe that I really like I like to get them in all colors. I’m big on that. I can’t think of any girl who wouldn’t want her name on a brand of shoes. I think that’s pretty cool,” she said.

The line will consist of 40-designs. What is showcased here are wedges and sandals. By the looks of things, I will not be purchasing anything from this line. It seems like it is for the more “mature” (I didn’t want to say older lol) woman or for moms who have busy lifestyles and want to stay stylish. These are only 6-designs and I am hoping that the other 34 will have something with a little bit more sass.

The line will be available in the UK early March starting at £ 29.99.

What do you think about the line?

Rapper Da Brat is the latest person to be styled by the fabulous June Ambrose. Since Da Brat has been released from jail last year, she has been in somewhat of a style rut and June came to the rescue.

I love the hair! She still has a little bit of an edge, but it is not as masculine. I can do without the quilt, but overall I think it is a good look. What do you all say?

Rock it or Drop it?

Be sure to check out June’s show on VH1 which has been pushed back until March 19, 2012

I wasn’t able to get you the Red Carpet footage for the Golden Globes a few weeks ago because I was out of town and I didn’t have my laptop (bad blogger) but I have you covered for the 2012 Screen Actors Guild Awards.

  • Kelly Osborne-It’s all in the simple details
  • Shaun Robinson- this is how you get noticed! The color is bold and daring.
  • Diane Lane-she didn’t take too much of a risk, but the jeweled detail is what caught my eye

  • Jayma Mays-combining sequins and lace can be detrimental but the execution on this dress was phenomenal
  • Ariel Winter- the mixed prints and textures give this dress major attitude
  • Kaley Cuoco-very whimsical, but I like it

  • Octavia Spencer- Always elegant. With dresses in this shade it’s always a hit or miss because it can look drab but she nailed it.
  • Ashlee Simpson- One of my top looks. It has such a vintage feel
  • Lea Michele- I guess she wanted to add a little flavor and show a little leg! The split is so daring, but it is tasteful

  • Amber Riley- representing for the curvy girls with this peplum and lace dress
  • Michelle Williams- I love the lace detailing on the sleeves
  • Regina King- what I love most about this dress is the color

  • Viola Davis- Yesssssss–she looks phenomenal! This dress is so elegant and her hair and makeup—perfection
  • Sofia Vegara- she’s always spicy and this dress definitely hugs the curves
  • Zoe Saldana- her style is effortless

  • Renee Bargh- the different textures give this dress a unique look
  • Nancy O’Dell- the color is amazing. Red is always a popular color
  • Rose Byrne- I love that she went against the grain and wore a jumpsuit

Now you all know that I absolutely  love and adore Michelle Obama. She is the epitome of all things classy. She is refined, yet down to earth. She carries herself with such dignity and grace that she has transformed many people’s opinions about Africa-Americans, well African-American women in particular.

According to an article written by Nathalie Dolivo, we (African-American women) were clueless when it came to style. According to the article that has been removed she states:

“In this America led for the first time a black president, the chic has become a plausible option for a community so far pegged to its codes [of] streetwear”

She also states the Obamas dress “white” but still maintain their “blackness” with symbols.
Is this woman serious? So before Michelle Obama we were just running around in Baby Phat and Apple Bottoms? Or were we just wearing burlap sacks? So I’m guessing we had no clue what an A-Line skirt was or how to mix prints, or how to rock a cardigan and pencil skirt in complimentary colors? Or  was it that we were just rocking our Jordan Heels, Timbs, and Air Force Ones, that we never saw a classic black pump or a kitten heel? J. Crew wasn’t one of our go to stores huh? Let me guess you only saw us coming out of Dr. Jays and Jimmy Jazz?
Well Nathalie Dolivo, I’m sure now you regret writing that article, but we don’t need your help or validation on black style. We’ve got that covered.
People are getting more and more bold with the blatant racism. First Rihanna is a ‘niggerbitch’ now blacks didn’t have style until Michelle Obama became first lady. I hope other journalists and editors of  predominantly white publications are taking note. When one group is blatantly disrespected, what is that going to accomplish? How will that benefit your readers?
What do you all think about these controversial comments?

Chanel Iman covers February issue of L’Officiel Magazne. Chanel Iman’s colorful jumper and the blue background of the magazine have me longing for Spring. This will be a long winter…

Another favorite of the modeling industry (maybe not favorite) is Jessica White. She channels Bianca Jagger in this high fashion shoot for Hong Kong’s West East Magazine.

She is gorgeous! There is no denying that.

Miami Rapper Trina was spotted in NYC during a private showcase a few days ago. The showcase was for the release of some new music from Trina and a segment on stylist’s June Ambrose show “Styled by June” premiering February 27th on VH1. This is the Trina that we’ve all known and grown to love

This is the new Trina

Yeah I didn’t recognize her either. This is a total transformation. June Ambrose has been known to either keep it real classic or real extreme. This look right here is extreme-not in a negative way though. If she is reinventing her look because she has a new sound then kudos to her! We have seen this look on many artist before but hey everything is recycled anyway.

Check out what June wore to the show case

Are you feeling Trina’s new look?

I love how Tia and Tamera played off of each other with one of my favorite color/pattern combinations- black, red, and leopard. The twins are giving off a sugar and spice feel. Tia is definitely the spicy one with the red dress and dramatic makeup. Tamera took the classic lbd and gave it a spin with some leopard heels.

If Lala would have been photographed with Tia and Tamera she would have fit in perfectly. Again with a classic color combination-black, red, white- Lala looks very polished and the shades give it a modern twist.

Who’s look would you rock?

So today The Game returns to BET for its 2nd season with the network. Last week, at the premiere Teyana Taylor was spotted rocking a fab leopard print top and camouflage shorts over leather pants. I am all for mixing prints, but did this mix work for you?

New Year’s Eve has to be the biggest party night of the year. Whether you are at a small gathering with just family or friends, or at a star-studded party at a popular night club, everyone wants to ring in the new year having a good time.

Here are some photos of how some of our favorite celebs celebrated

Congratulations to LeBron and Savannah on their engagement. The two celebrated the new year at a birthday gathering for LeBron where he popped the big question. I won’t comment on the pants.
