Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren Caped Dress for the 2014 Golden Globes
I’ve featured Lupita Nyong’o on the blog before a few months ago during the promotion of 12 Years a Slave, and we fell in love with her sense of fashion all over again during this awards season. I mean can you say SLAYED. Her looks have been pretty much flawless. She is definitely the new “It” girl since our beloved Kerry Washington.

I love that Lupita takes risks with her makeup, hairstyles, and fashion choices while keeping it CLASSY. She is a great representation of the chocolate sisters. Her skin is pretty much flawless *cues Beyonce* and I cannot get enough of her color choices. Everything has complimented her so well. She is definitely one of my favorites this awards season. I will be keeping a close eye on her for the rest of the season. I cannot wait to see what she pulls off for the Academy Awards. Now if only we can get these magazines to embrace her for who she is and not lighten her skin SMH @ Vanity Fair.

I LOVE the white dress Lupita is wearing. I wasn’t a fan of the red dress and I really like the blue dress, but I’d like it more without the flowers at the top.

Can we both agree that Luptia can do no wrong? I am just enamored with her lol. I honestly wasnt a fan of the red dress, but nevertheless she looks gorgeous in all of these looks! My favorite is the blue dress because!

Let me just say, Luptia is a goddess! she is always on point when it comes to fashion and acting. I really loved the Gucci dress on her! That she wore at the 2014 Screen Actors Guild Awards she really slayed that dress!
The Gucci was one of my favorites as well! The color was gorgeous.
She did look SO BEAUTIFUL at the SAG awards. I really like her style! 🙂

The show has also featured music from Passion Pit , Pink , Florence The Machine , Selena Gomez & the Scene , and McFly . Music from Katie Herzig and can be heard multiple times throughout the show. A few songs being “Hey Na Na” and “Where the Road Meets the Sun”. Madi Diaz has been heard on the show with her song “Heavy Heart”, as well as Joy Williams with “Charmed Life” and Foreign Slippers with “What Are You Waiting For?”. The last episode of season one featured a song by Alexz Johnson that she originally recorded for the soundtrack of the Canadian hit TV show Instant Star . On June 14, 2011, “Jar of Hearts” by Christina Perri was featured in the first episode of the second season. The song “Follow Suit” by Trent Dabbs has also been featured on the show. In the episode “The Perfect Storm”, Lucy Hale sings a cover of the song ” Who Knows Where the Time Goes? ” by British band Fairport Convention . The official soundtrack was released on February 15, 2011.
