We all know that Nicki Minaj has made some very unique and interesting fashion choices. She’s worn every color hair that you could possibly imagined, tutus, teddy bear sneakers, and ice cream cones. It was a point in time when her look was more like a gimmick and she lacked authenticity. She wanted to breakaway from the Lil Kim comparisons (which have died down significantly) and create her own persona. In the midst of creating that persona she was accused of copying Lady Gaga, Madonna, and others.

So fast forward a few years later and we are now looking at a new, and dare I say, more refined Nicki Minaj! Take a look at her cover and spread in Marie Claire magazine

She has been looking AMAZING lately. I love the fresh face and simple hairstyles. You really get to see how beautiful she is without peeling away so many layers.

  1. That’s not to say that you can’t invoke other styles and eras with your wedding guest garb. A 1960s pencil skirt will allow you to turn heads without causing a distraction, and a dress with an empire waist and cap sleeves will invoke the 1940s without making you look like a has-been. Just remember to adhere to the style of the wedding — we’ve established that bellbottoms won’t fit into even the most casual ceremonies, but a vintage sundress won’t do at a black-tie affair, either.
